The disconnect between posters appears to be one subset of the forum okay with being the Miami Marlins and the other wanting to be the Houston Astros

This is a fair assessment. Can’t assume you’re going to have the leagues best staff again and the rest of the league is going to be looking to improve (SEA, NYY, BOS, CLE) -
The difference is they win 100 games like every year now. The Blue Jays never have Dodgers purposely sat out of FA this year and reset their luxury tax commitments so they can sign Ohtani and they still won 100 games
