Playing Boston and Detroit doesn't help either.

Shut up. I'm not cheering for the Yankees--just because they swept Minnesota doesn't make them a good team. Minnesota isn't very good. They'll have a tougher time vs. Baltimore on the weekend.

Man, that Boston! Another win against a hapless Padres team. Better start printing those playoff tickets at Fenway--they have an outside shot at 60 wins by the All-Star Break. As I've said before--we(and other teams) will have to settle for a wild card--Boston's not giving up the AL East, especially with that talent there. Who knew getting the high paid cancers of Youkilis, A-Gone, Crawford and Beckett made the team a lot better? Shows that Boston is better with developing its own talent rather than overpaying on high level(Josh Hamilton, Zack Grienke, etc.) They've been better by signing mid-level free agents(without compensation) to help their core.

Detroit doesn't have that luxury to wait--they've got a tough series vs. 1st place Cleveland this weekend. A bad series could knock Detroit out of contention.

While all of you are whining about the Jays--Tigers fans are holding their breath re: Miguel Cabrera's back. This would be a crippling blow to the Tigers if Cabrera needs to miss time or have a DL stint.

Buck you're an idiot! Al Albequerque isn't that good--8.5 BB/9IP is not good for a reliever. Plus, he was optioned to AAA earlier this year.

Bye Wang--he's DFA bound after this game. Hear Thad Weber is pitching well as a starter in AAA--wonder if he gets a call. And what about Marcus Stroaman? Will his era start next time?

Here's what ESPN had to say about Detroit's problems: The Tigers' mediocre 14-13 record in June overshadowed the continued brilliance of Max Scherzer (12-0). Culprits include a flaky bullpen, lack of clutch run production (8-12 in one-run games) and a batting average that drops by 50-plus points on the road. Perhaps relief will be found in the return of Anibal Sanchez and call-up of young flamethrower Bruce Rondon. Sounds like the Jays.. except we have a better bullpen.

True. Detroit needs to fix its bullpen soon--or the ALDS will be represented in the Central by Cleveland.
