    Angels about to beat Boston--boy, they're in the EXACT same boat as the Jays. Same record, too--if the Angels can come back into the race, so can the Jays. Don't count either team out. And considering Baltimore and Tampa, along with New York, face tough schedules from here and after the All-Star break, and we have a weak schedule(still haven't played the Astros), anything could happen.

    One of the best last place teams in baseball--if we were in the Central or West, we'd be in 3rd right now(lots of bad teams in the Central and West). And don't get me started on the NL East and West.

    FYI, for the Yanks sake, here's the projected pitchers for the Royals series: Hughes Sabathia Nova Pettite Vs. Guthrie, Shields, Davis, Santana. With the Yanks difficulty to score, it could be a tough series.

    Man, David Price is dominating the White Sox..just 86 pitches into the 9th inning.

    Mo blows a save as Adam Jones hits a 2 run HR off his fastball. If the Yanks lose today, they plunge all the way to 4th, as Tampa is also winning.

    By that--look at the Indians/Tigers game today! Indians blew a 6-1 lead.. and now it's a 6-6 game.

    Big deal. It's an 6-run game--who cares if he gives up a HR or not. ERA's still only 1.81 anyway.

    Since this game is out of reach for the Twins--here's some other news: Mo just blew a save--Adam Jones hit a 2 run HR off of him in the 9th. Tampa's winning as well. 5.5 back by the end of today. We need a good week vs. sinking Cleveland and Baltimore.

    Maybe if the Marlins actually ate some salary, they would've gotten better prospects--Loria screwed up here. Not mentioned was that the Dodgers are taking on the remainder of that contract--Miami deserves to get very little. Spend some money already! This was a pure salary dump plain and simple.

    Orioles lose--Jays lose only .5 game in the standings. Yankees now lead the 2nd wild card--although a Tampa win and they're tied.

    After this start, Twins will likely get a decent prospect or two for Pelfrey..he's on an expiring deal, and will be a free agent this winter, just like Josh Johnson.

    Rock bottom was a while ago--when we were about 11 under. And BTW.. didn't the Jays even see tape on Pelfrey? That was ugly...

    Baltimore needs a better closer than Jim Johnson..all his peripherals are down from last year. Why isn't Tommy Hunter the closer yet? And Pedro Strop is no longer there--he's in Chicago.

    Oh Shuck.. he just completely waffled on a line drive-- 2-0 Boston now. Whoever thinks L.A.(Angels) is heading for a bounceback to contention needs their head checked.. this is still a bad team.

    As a result, we're now down to 5.5 back--however, now the O's have the Rays closing in as well.

    Exactly. Remember, Carlos Delgado went through the same growing pains as Lawrie--it took him until his age 24-25 season to become a good player.

    Boni should be gone. He should be DFA'd as soon as Cabrera and/or Lawrie return.

    Thank goodness for Minnesota next--sked's gonna soften from here. And we still haven't played Houston. Just rebound with Minnesota and maybe Cleveland, hope the Yankees give Baltimore a hard time, and hope Cabrera's back for our series vs. Baltimore.

    Angels fans felt the same way last year when they got Pujols--guess where they ended up?

    BTW, tell this same story to World Series potential teams like the Nationals, Angels, Giants, Rays, Yankees(pending what the O's do).. they're all likely complaining as well. Dodgers were excluded because they're on a tear.

    And we need Lawrie and Cabrera back ASAP--there's part of the problem.
