  1. Seems like his MO tbh .422 playoff OPS in their six losses as well. Big reason the team has been a wet fart whenever it matters.
  2. Just can't get over how poor almost every single Vlad PA has been Just pure guess hitting, with his timing and swing not working either
  3. Interesting how it hasn't happened. Big "press conference at 9" energy.
  4. Your $500m clown, ladies and gentlemen
  5. It's like Kirk is just too absorbed with the pitching game plan that he never has an idea of what to do offensively.
  6. And the Jays are over .500 still, lol
  7. Brutal in a lot of ways Santander blows Kirk is lost again Vlad is a stupid hacker, waste of talent Little was pwning Winker then hung one pitch. Winker also clearly swung earlier so he had a nice four strike plate appearance. Springer should have caught that ball. Bad route cost them the game and hurt himself. Seems like a bad injury although I couldn't tell what he hurt. Nice to know Chad Green has... no role? Isn't trusted? I mean he does suck so that makes sense. We all know what to expect. The team does not have a plus offense so expect close games, and the bullpen is obviously mediocre at best so that's not a great recipe. Even if Wagner and Roden hit well all year, they aren't power threats so nothing much changes about the team and its flaws.
  8. Yeah the current core would be a much better "long term core" but that 2015/2016 trip is an exceptionally better "short term core" Need more star power to ever actually win though. Maybe it's Nimmala. Think about Vlad/Nimmala/Mystery Player being the championship core on a few years with Kirk and Gimenez as productive secondary dudes.
  9. This guy doesn't even have a GOOD approach at the plate some of the time, let alone an elite approach. Yes, when his timing is down he can cook hits and homers for months and be a top 5 hitter in the sport because hit natural hit and power tool combo is elite, but just look at his K rate right now. How many quality plate appearances has he had this year? Lots of wasted at bats. And he has of course had entire seasons where he never found that timing or dialed in his swing. Sigh. So many ways this deal can end up in a disaster.
  10. The Hoffman - Romano decision is looking solid so far
  11. Outcome Matrix 1. It's not even true 😀 2. It's true but the value is way lower 🫡 3. It's true and it's $500m real dollars 🤢🤮
  12. Or it's just not true. Dominican media have been leaking stuff like this for months.
  13. It's not 1999. You can just measure the stuff of guys like Fluharty and Little and compare it to available free agents. They probably project better than the alternatives that weren't signed, or at least it was close enough to justify not allocating any additional budget to the bullpen. Flu is probably good. Now should he have been facing Juan Soto there? Different question.
  14. Who geeeefs a fokkkk
  15. Sure I guess Could be $350m actual value but $501m on paper to make Vlad happy
  16. Might need to score here. Could be only chance.
  17. Damn, Bloss got pummeled. That velo is a couple of ticks lower than his spring showing. Maybe the weather, maybe just the demotion let down. Barger's exit velo numbers are extremely exciting - borderline elite. Real chance to be an MLB player but his game is just a mess outside of the batter's box lol.
  18. The Blue Jays have faced two of the shittier SP staffs in baseball. Eflin Morton Kremer Sugano Soroka Williams Gore Realistically this is like facing a fringe SP2 (Gore), one SP3 (Eflin), two SP4s (Kremer and Morton), and then three SP5s (Williams, Sugano, Soroka). So five "backend' quality SPs in seven games. And no SP1s, let alone capital A Aces. It's nice that Gimenez and Springer and Bo and others are hitting but let's wait a few weeks and let the team run through some actual pitching staffs before we start jerking Ross off.
  19. Move aside, Bo-Vlad window. Hello, Gimenez-Kirk window. Better defense up the middle. More reliable produkshun. Identical total WAR ceiling. Less ice-baths. Less pulled calvies.
  20. Marte was also already under contract for a few more years so he didn't have much leverage or negotiating power. Seems like the Diamondbacks just approached him, guaranteed him a good chunk of more money in the future, in exchange for reworking the next few years of his deal to save them some money for whatever reason.
