  1. he's going to break his sternum if he slides like that again and those fingers lmao
  2. Strider playing with fire putting guys on before Myles Straw comes up
  3. Maybe he will get tired like Sweatyballs
  4. Well, made him throw more than 10 pitches so small victory
  5. Bo swinging at the first fastball that almost hit him in the face - fine, you were planning on jumping a FB whatever Doing it again on the next pitch - UNFORGIVEABLE!
  6. The Jays are stacked!
  7. The Matt Shaw demotion is weird to me. Why even break camp with him if the leash was going to be so short? He's a good enough prospect to have received a couple hundred PA first.
  8. Alan Roden went from demotable to promotable (for ROY) in one game. He's now at +0.4 fWAR and in the ROY race. 119 wRC+, K rate under 16%, OAA of +2. Profile looks rock solid. Displayed some good baserunning last night so it might be reasonable to expect his BsR to trend into the green as well. This is Kole Calhoun.
  9. Ross is just coiling up like a cobra. Plan Sneak Attack 2025 is in full effect.
  10. He has a chance to be a shortstop, from all reports. Hard to tell but it sounds like he could be an average shortstop if things work out. It might have a thing or two to do with Bo. But any Bo extension presumes he's a 2B or 3B around 30 years old, anyway.
  11. Jackson Holliday sucks again His projections are starting to tumble too. Preseason Steamer was 110 wRC+ now his Steamer ROS is 103 wRC+ Interesting case study
  12. Schwellenbach looked incredible, Cy Young good, and then he suddenly lost his command and some velo. Starting hanging and spiking his breaking balls and missing left to right with his fastball. Maybe he came out too hot. Strider tomorrow. Have to make him work. Don't be too aggressive.
  13. I'm still giving Barger credit for these homers tonight. His aura caused them somehow.
  14. Tomorrow I'll call Will Wagner a real Jigglypuff or something
  15. In a few hours Addison Barger will have more homers than Guerrero and Bo combined. Or as my daughter says, combineded
  16. Kylometers Straw has almost paid for his "sunk cost" contract
  17. Dude has the tools and profile to be Carlos Correa. That goes for general player profile and trajectory. Correa: 2014, 19 y.o., 62 games in A+ 2015, 20 y.o., 24 games in AA, 29 in AAA, 99 in MLB, 4.7 WAR, ROY There is a very low chance Toronto is that aggressive with Arjun but a 2027 debut at 21 years old is somewhat realistic. I guess a 2026 debut is possible but he would have to just ball out and never look back.
  18. I think it's pretty mixed. Orelvis, Barger, Nimmala are all power over hit. They traded for Chuckie McAdoo who is power over hit. Sean Keys isn't really a hit tool guy. Jace Bohrohfen is a k per game guy. The Iowa Meat Truck is in the system. I dunno. The 2022 draft class was very hit tool / slappy with Kasevich, Toman, Doughty, Roden, all taken in a row. That draft class informs a lot of the perceptions about the current system, I think. 2021 they took no hitters up top at all. Covid year just Austin Martin who was a slap master. So 2020-2022 was a three year drought on power hitters in the draft, for sure.
  19. Wife was in labour during last night's game. Feel bad for the dude, he knows how precarious his job is.
  20. I love me some needless underhand slings and first pitch foulouts
