    The general opinion on Ken Giles in baseball is kind of weird. Before 2016 he was traded to Houston for a huge package. His DIPS numbers and indicators have not changed a whole lot since then but his perceived value has f***ing plummeted, presumable mostly due to a random ERA spike, some timely blown saves, and other on/off the field stuff like him punching things and punching himself. It really makes no sense that he isn't just commonly accepted as an elite and valuable relief pitcher. Osuna and him project for basically the same FIP/ERA and they both have warts. I guess Osuna's warts are just purely off the field and Giles' warts are arguably (weak argument, but arguably...) on the field?

    Because when hockey was invented, after the team won, Lord Stanley used to stand up and salute them by "pointing" his two abnormally long index fingers straight into the sky and towards God. The players used to remark that it was "nice to be able to get two points tonight from Lord Stanley", which evolved over time to the points system as we know it today. If the event of a tie, the skaters would often remark, "at least one of the points from Lord Stanley was for us tonight", hence the distribution.

    The best offer so far is: A farm player who is MLB ready and probably a top ~50 fantasy prospect + a SP under 28 with upside and some solid production but an injury history It's acceptable but I do think someone can top this.

    I'm going to jump the market and AUCTION Joey Votto. Several teams have expressed interest in him specifically. - I'll accept the best offer by Sunday at 10 PM. - I'll consider offers for Votto + someone else big, but you might also want to make a coinciding offer for just (or mostly) Votto so you have a chance if I decide to only sell him. - I am focused on quality, not quantity. If you can offer 1 attractive roster player and 1 blue chip prospect, you'll have a good chance of winning the auction.
