  1. Gross. Kershaw is possibly not even a star SP anymore given the velocity drop and limited arsenal. I'm expecting a Felix level drop off in production for this guy.
  2. Exactly? Meh.
  3. Speak for yourself! I'm very excited about Cavan Biggio. He walks a s*** ton and he hits for power and he can run a bit. The only offensive shortcoming is the K rate, which isn't as much of a drawback in today's game as people think. Glass half empty people like to talk about his defensive shortcomings because there are questions about his infield defense, but I prefer to think about the fact that he can play the infield at all as a big defensive positive so I consider his defense a big plus. I'd be pretty surprised if Biggio does not turn into at least an average regular in the big leagues, given the shape of the modern game and how perfectly his profile is suited for same.
  4. lmao stupid flimsy trophy
  5. All valid points, of course. Things aren't looking great for Zeuch but he has some unique characteristics that, I think, make it worth holding out hope that even without a big developmental leap he might be capable of MLB SP production similar to, say, Kendall Graveman for a few years while he's still cheap. I'd rather have a durable back-end SP than a stupid groundball reliever guy. And of course if he flops in 2019/2020 you can always throw him into the pen at that point and see what happens.
  6. I wonder sometimes if people are overreacting to Zeuch's low K rate. I mean his ERA and DIPS were great this year in AA, and great last year in A+. It's not like that is completely meaningless information, especially when a guy is like 7 feet tall and it's reasonable to think that the fastball could be extremely hard to square up even if it doesn't miss bats.
  7. Really good question and hard to guess. Could be surprisingly low or surprisingly high!
  8. he said, pathetically, as he shrunk into a corn cob
  9. Age gets to everyone. You and I -- two past their prime former fantasy stars (you more than me) -- would know all about that.
  10. Wellll I have a guy that I know you want and there is that offer hanging in the air. You could always click accept on that
  11. MLB should definitely just have one legal in-house spray product that helps grip a little bit (but not too much), which they plop behind the mound with the rosin bag. IIRC rosin was an illegal substance from like, 1900 to 1935 or whatever.

To compare Matthews to Vlad Jr.... on a blue jays message board... WOW!
  13. Or just offer him the most money and make a gamble on being able to turn him into a prospect. The team should have payroll space.
  14. Listen to these tools... (you can use this perfect tagline in exchange for 5% of all profits)
  15. "It sounds like a 20 grade baseball blog" - Roy Firestone
  16. To be fair to Charlie, that's a very bad picture. He's not THAT hideous.
  17. Kind of getting sick of that stock line: "Playing/managing for a team that represents an entire country is super cool"
  18. He didn't quit. Probably best to email him though rather than PM through this message board.
  19. McCutchen is probably the next guy that I focus on getting rid of. Send me a not s***** offer if interested.
  20. probably? he hasn't gone over 110 since 2012
  21. I am already emotionally invested in Rocco Baldelli so I will be changing my fandom if it isn't him.
  22. Why? I'm sure you also like the Rodon deal since you are his #1 SuperFan.
  23. confirmed (I know it's bad so don't even laugh)
  24. It's kind of funny. You get these guys like Chris Taylor and JDM now who have like, .390 wOBAs, .400 OBPs with power in the minors... they struggle for a few very truncated partial MLB seasons and then get comfortable and start hitting well and everyone is instantly screeching about the flyball revolution and the magic of altering your approach
