  1. How does a kid with plus speed go 1 for 7 in steals in rookie ball? lmao
  2. Last rusty veteran to get rid of is Morales, and then the books will be SQUEAKY f***ING CLEAN BOYS Operation No Commitments is going smoothly The Jays are like a 23 year old girl who has successfully decided to dump her 4 year college boyfriend and travel South America to "discover herself" I wonder what we will discover Chlamydia rates are up significantly in Ontario
  3. $10 for a Vlad auto AND a hotdog? wow
  4. Sure. You discriminate against people based on their choice of transportation. Not sure what the specific world for that is. Wheelist? Your Timmies article also makes you an anti-capitalist treasoner.
  5. Weird. Maybe the mods screen every new post or they chose to make this one invisible? I can't see how it would violate their rules though because you aren't promoting your own site and you are an active member of their CoMmUnItY! You could message the mods.
  6. I really don't know, that's just where my mind went. Dude got charged for punching his girlfriend, so I guess "broken jaw" immediately made me try to figure out the DV angle to your joke, which clearly wasn't there.
  7. I was actually uncertain in the moment about whether it was a domestic violence joke
  8. Does your definition of "prospect" include Dalton Pompey, Dwight Smith Jr., and Jonathan Davis though? They all aren't very good, and players like Pompey will be released frequently between now and spring.
  9. I don't think this is the type of "problem" that you want to let force your hand on a trade.
  10. It will be disappointing to see Pompey go (but seems like the most likely cut). Dude had so much potential.
  11. Great move.
  12. A lot of those offers are, at a glance, below reasonable market projections for those players. By all rights Bryce Harper should be earning like $350M+...
  13. Grandal should be getting a Russel Martin type contract. I agree with baseball twitter that a lot of signs are pointing towards a player strike. Yikes.
  14. Now the story is "A's expect Kyler Murray to enter the NFL draft" Baseball is over
  15. He was "reassigned" from Assistant Director of Important Stuff to Mid-North-West Coast Sub-Regional Cross Checker of Almost Nothing. I think he must have decided to leave shortly after that.
  16. I'd rather sign Harper but yeah. If any team ends up actually getting a good deal on either of Harper/Machado, it will be pathetic from the perspective of every other teams' fans.
  17. hahahaha hahahahahahahahahahaha
  18. Seems pretty random / bad. Not sure how anybody could justify ranking Pentecost, Harris like that. We need to figure out a good method for our list before the season starts.
  19. Yeah it's a pretty good regular option all things considered. Cheaper than the Gap etc., better quality than H&M or other cheap places like that.
  20. No! Just Yonge/Dundas.
  21. I've been thinking about this forever. Well, ever since Twitch became a thing. We would simulcast audio reacting to the game - not doing play-by-play. We wouldn't cast video of the game, obviously. Our video feed would be us and someone's PC so they can pull up Fangraphs or whatever. The intent would be for people to have the game on but muted on their TV, and then they'd have our audio and a second screen experience. It would be the absolute tits.
  22. Toronto is a world class city, please don't compare it to Kansas City. It's better than Boston. I would have to be convinced that for a Japanese player, coming to Canada rather than the USA would be a negative. I imagine that if Vancouver had an MLB team that would actually be their first choice. Asian people f***ing love Canada. Obviously, payroll and team history are relevant factors. Meh - if I was a Blue Jays decision maker I would continue to aggressively pursue these guys. I don't see objective reasons that support a defeatist or non-participation attitude.
  23. It doesn't make absolute sense though - we've seen Japanese players sign with New York and Boston. Toronto has a whole lot to offer, even THREE Uncle Tetsu's and a Uniqlo.
  24. Can't he make make more money as a backup QB than he can as an MLB star? And QBs already play until they are like 37 years old. Now the rules give them even more protection.
  25. Money must not have been the deciding point because a more traditional structure would have benefited him. The deal he agreed to gives the M's the right to undercut his value in 3 years - if he has a top pitcher who could earn more than 4/66 in free agency. So, he took less guaranteed money AND there is some value downside to his contract from his perspective. Obviously being on the west coast will always be a big deal for Japanese players
