  1. A stylistic decision because it is a common modifier / adjective
  2. Matt Shoemaker: Better than Aaron Sanchez
  3. Sort of. Seemed to me like he already got enough hype during 2018, at least relative to his overall production which was fairly pedestrian. He was on everybody's breakout prediction list before the year, right? In terms of production and profile he's comparable to Riley Adams who, for whatever reason, I don't really recall being part of the prospect discussion all that much. I could have worked him in though and made the argument this his peripherals were stronger than his actual slash line.
  4. Link for the uninitiated https://www.radioscouts.com/blog/stat-scouting-the-farm-hitters This is part 2 of the Stat Scouting the Farm thing. This is the hitters. Excuse the length, but there were lots of names and I decided not to outright cut any of them.
  5. I thought we were talking about his brother, David Ross
  6. Do you really think they keep him?
  7. I blame Fangraphs for not updating their free agent tracker
  8. Cal Stevenson Alejandro Kirk Otto Lopez Hagen Danner Gabriel Moreno Ryan Noda Chavez Young Cullen Large Brock Lundquist Ivan Castillo Rodrigo Orozco Riley Adams Joshua Palacios Alberto Mineo (I think this is every super-deep non-listed hitter worth discussing)
  9. I'm trying to figure out what Cruz' contract says about Smoak's potential trade value. Smoak projects worse (but still well) but is younger and only costs $6M. Maybe he has a bit of value? If the acquiring team is tight on payroll but wants a good hitter?
  10. Really nobody unless you want to talk yourself into one of: Derek Holland Tyson Ross Clay Buttholez Gio Gonzalez Wade Miley Drew Pomeranz Ervin Santana Nate Karns Jeremy Hellickson etc. I mean I can talk myself into several of them so as long as the Blue Jays get some arms off that ^ list I think they're fine, given what the actual goals are or aren't in 2019.
  11. King you should hop on the podcast some time
  12. 12/18 We are working on speeding up the editing. Stuff does get outdated fast.
  13. I swear we made this point during the recording. Maybe it got cut for some reason.
  14. Is this your first JP Morosi experience, little guy?
  15. Weird but I see it I guess

  17. From my recollection, being 2017 when I owned him in dynasty baseball. It’s possible reports from more recently are down on him. https://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/eyewitness_pit.php?reportid=509
  18. It’s a 60 FB and a 70+ CH. there are decidedly NOT a lot of those guys.

Raps 3 point game is getting tired
  20. The Padres arguably have like 11 top 100 prospects.
  21. The Padres have the best farm in baseball. Their eight best prospect is top 5 in most systems and top 3 in a good number.
  22. He’s a legit clickbait assclown, so yes and yes!
  23. A’s close on Fiers. Man, the pile of SP s*** is getting smaller and smaller. It will be interesting to see who Toronto signs and then sells to the fans as some kind of stabilizing veteran acquisition. I’m guessing it’s Marco coming back at this point + some leftover turds who settle for minor league deals, like Edwin Jackson or whatever
  24. (Good teams make moves like this too)
