  1. It's been a month. Put your ugly sock in this "career is over" BS. I once had diarrhea for a month. The main benefit of this lawsuit for Clemens will be a convenient context to explain his failure to make it in baseball.
  2. Concrete Cowboy has to be a gay bar not that there's anything wrong with that
  3. I hate prospect projection talk where people try to figure out where a prospect will "end up". Players will "end up" wherever the MLB roster dictates. Depending on his teammates, Vlad will either play 1B/DH or be a s***** 3B. It is objectively good to try to develop your prospects with as much versatility as possible (and the best way to do this is to simply have them play the position at the top of their reasonable skill set).
  4. All of these lists / rankers just use MLB Rookie eligibility as their qualifying criteria.
  5. Mods please make me njh again lower case because my ego is smaller
  6. Did Chavez Young just make a list or something? He was showing up on Frangraphs most searched minor leaguers thing.
  7. Radio Scouts like him more than Bo The combination of contact and OBP/power would be intriguing even if he was a f***ing first base prospect lol
  8. IIRC he just said his heart was no longer in it or something like that
  9. If you guys change your names back to the real ones I will do the same
  10. Honestly, that is a fair opinion. Could also argue Eloy over Vlad. Vlad is basically a DH prospect and that's not a good thing.
  11. Nice. PM me your preferred email and I’ll transfer the team after Yahoo opens. You’ll be taking over jays_fever’s team effective immediately. If you are the only replacement owner then you’ll do the normal cuts and waiver draft. If there are other non-returning owners this year we might do a dispersal draft - should know if this is the case within a few days
  12. If you truly want back in, you’re back in.
  13. Excuse you - those are two battle tested, playoff caliber players.
  14. Most of the top free agents are now signed. By the time the season starts, almost all of this list should be signed:
  15. Wtf? They make teams f***ing qualify for the pan am games?
  16. Great deal with no downside. Galvis made $7M in arb 3. Only 29 years old. The Padres traded Enyel De Los Santos for this guy before 2018 - he could return a similar arm at the trade deadline if some contender has a hole at SS and Galvis is doing okay.
  17. Need to shoot Kirk up my rankings I think
  18. I am extremely worried about several owners in this league not showing up this year. featherD torontofan GD jays_fever silvergun havok
  19. Actually, looking at the Reds 25 man roster, they seem better than people think. Maybe under-projected. Castillo, Wood, Roark, Gray, Disco is a strong 5 man; no Aces but a lot to like. I like Mahle and Reed as depth SP. I like the pen enough. Position player depth kind of sucks and could be their downfall.
  20. There's no way some of those lineups would be better than the Reds with JTR. Reds also have guys like Schebler and Kemp who aren't zeroes offensively, and maybe a promotable Taylor Trammell.
  21. It only covers the four years that KC already had control over him. It's a cost-certainty contract. He is betting against himself a little bit because $15M over three arb years seems low and he has been great since coming into the league. Kevin f***ing Pillar is on track to go $3M - $6M - $8M in arbitration, Whit! Having said that, Whit doesn't really have the kind of skills/stats that make huge arb bucks so I'm not sure he left a bucket of money on the table. And $15M guaranteed is huge, especially for a $100k signing bonus guy who is already 30 years old. 6.5 years in the minors for a college draftee! Baseball is such an insane sport. So many players spend the majority of their 20s not even in the majors, and then if they do make it they are cost controlled well past their decline phase even begins.

    NHL Thread

Pitchforks from who, about what? It was cool to see how fast Coyne was. It seems like the NHL and women's hockey got very positive press from the collaboration. The women seemed to love being there, the press loved it. Not really sure what there is to whine about but I will assume it's leftists saying the NHL should pay the women hundreds of thousands of dollars for exploiting them or something like that.
  23. The last lists analysis: pitchers in AA and AAA https://www.radioscouts.com/blog/stat-scouting-the-minors-z-scores-for-pitchers-aa-and-aaa Next for this exercise is the aggregate list. It'll be a huge top ~1000 prospects list, with some minor adjustments for pitchers (penalties) and level (penalties for being further away). Should be fun!
