You're overcorrecting in an attempt to be objective. There are like three phantom calls against Toronto this game. The flagrant against Ibaka was trash. The dick punch by Simmonds wasn't even called. Then you can get to all of the normal fouls by Philladelphia that aren't being called (what you're talking about).

He is getting almost zero pitches down the middle. Got impatient about it last night for really the first time and took some bad swings. If prime Jose Bautista was getting pitched to like this he would have like 8 walks over Vlad's five games. It's mostly a string of awful luck that pitchers haven't made more mistakes and given him some pitches to actually hit. -

He is the third or fourth best projected hitter on the team so he should be hitting high in the order. -
It's really something. They were total zeroes. Ibaka, I guess could have been expected since the fact that he was good this year was itself kind of surprising. Powell has been bad for a while so that's not surprising, despite his flashes of positive impact. FVV is a big surprise... not sure if he is choking or playing hurt or what it is.

Raps played like s*** and still arguably should have won, when you consider the technical fouls and how many wide open threes they clanked. Not worried. Depth looks like a big issue though. The bench is awful. An injury to a starter could be catastrophic.
