$14M difference in the contracts. They have a thin system so you're probably looking at a C+ prospect who probably isn't even worth that much on paper. Not a bad idea though. The casuallllsssss would like it.

Most of the board was stunned when d'Araud's name came out. Then we kind of came to terms with it before getting kicked in the nuts by Syndergaard being the second piece.

Not sure what that means. The talent/depth seems to be very different between the dispersals. Laureano seems to have big upside. He nuked the minors in 2016 and his trackman readouts are pretty nuts so the power seems underrated.

Diaz was a hard on to evaluate. I would have been forced to take him with my next picks if nobody else scooped him up. lol so they are comparing it to Ottawa's first ten years of existence. They had like 50 wins TOTAL in their first four years of existence. didn't Melnyk buy the team when they had Alfy, Hossa, Havlat, Redden, Spezza? He basically just bought into their franchise high-point and has done nothing to foster success unless you want to somehow give him credit for the total fluke 2017 playoff run
