  1. If you wait for Kirk to be some skinny Englishman and a leader of pitching men then Kirk will rot in Buffalo until he dies of a heart attack at 31. Just let the fatty play right now and enjoy the magical show
  2. Why the f*** do we have a goalie starts minimum this season? I just had like eight goalie games postponed in one week and lost the categories. Horseshit
  3. Look again and observe his first time through the order stats. Relieving would help him avoid injuries going forward
  4. Bad pitchers with fantastic tools are pretty interesting / tantalizing
  5. The major shoulder surgery, past chronic blister issues, and poor performance as a SP make me doubt that any team will have much faith in him as a traditional SP. Career 1.67 ERA / 2.93 FIP in relief Career 4.24 ERA / 4.56 FIP as a starter (5.29 / 5.12 after 2016) As a SP, first time through the order: 2.39 ERA / 3.70 FIP I understand why most pitchers want to start as long as possible. Being a starter really increases likely compensation. But Sanchez is such a glaring candidate to possibly excel in the pen... if the guy pivoted now he might still have like seven more big league seasons.
  6. I read that yesterday and spent way too long trying to figure out what "does not believe in bidding wars" is even supposed to mean. I mean you got outbid by the f***ing Rays, Steve. Does it mean that you only want to sign players if nobody else wants them?
  7. Have to imagine he'll get an MLB deal somewhere if he's truly throwing that hard right now in February. Low salary of course. Toronto just doesn't have a roster spot for him. They could make him the 8th reliever and option Borucki or Kay but that screws up the LHP/RHP balance. Better fit for a retooling team or a bad team that has a flexible bullpen situation.

  10. Woof, only 8.5M for Paxton. Teams must think he's cooked
  11. Well his FIP last year was better than his 2016!!!
  12. Porcello, come to papa...
  13. Alrighty. I don't remember what the duration of the ban award was... do you?
  14. Fight about Covid stuff somewhere else, please.
  15. Wowwwwwwwwww!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!¡¡!!
  16. Interesting list. I like it.
  17. What's the opposite of a silent auction? Everyone should just post their offers and I'll pick which one BTS should take I mean Trout just went for Bo and Bieber in the DDL so the market is set. What are you hiding
  18. Jim it's Mike Trout. Just send your strongest offer.
  19. I only like Randys. I mean I'd probably take Conforto if I had to...
  20. Nice little dealio there. Send me a sane Arozarena offer
  21. I think this stuff might matter more when you have extreme players, like one high OBP slap hitter vs. a strikeout and HR king. Toronto has some well rounded hitters who hit for average, get on base, and hit for power. I don't think you can really go wrong ordering guys like Springer, Bo, Vlad, Gurriel, Teoscar, Biggio, Tellez, Semien, Kirk as long as the better hitters all things considered are near the top.
  22. Man, I can't even imagine taking some of these players over Kirk in dynasty. lmao
  23. That offseason was exciting but those trades were godawful and anyone without a peanut brain could tell that from the moment they were made. The team traded valuable prospect capital and controllable players for mostly free agent contracts... puke. Would have been fine if it worked out but it didn't so it was bad on bad in hindsight. This offseason is just as exciting arguably and it is responsible and smart!
  24. I think you can justify that. Fisher has patience, power, and speed so in theory his ceiling is higher. Davis is of course a better defender and possibly better at making contact. David probably makes better use of his speed too. They might be close all things considered but Fisher's tool package is less common.
  25. I thought Wilson would sign for maybe $5M. Maybe going cheaper with Phelps opens up some money for Paxton instead of Porcello.
