  1. Holy s***. Manoah showing more than just the fastball slider today... Although I'm not sure he needs much more.
  2. should be here: http://bilasport.net/game/toronto-blue-jays-vs-new-york-yankees-1.html
  3. I don't think today's game is on TV but I believe there is a NYY audio feed. Might be a good one to follow. I suppose the static video feed will be up though? I might try to get the NYY audio to line up with that video. Manoah vs. Deivi Garcia Then SWR, CJ Van Eyk, and Adam Kloffenstein all slated to throw per twitter people.
  4. I wouldn't read too much into it. Davis will be in CF if he ever starts, so that's all this is.
  5. Kirk is just such a rock solid hitter.
  6. Jansen 9th for me. Would hate to ever watch Jansen be the last out of a close game while a superior hitter is on deck because of overly cute lineup construction
  7. I don't think it really matters. The only possible weak link in the lineup looks like Danny Jansen. They could randomize the batting order every day and it wouldn't make much difference
  8. Moreno had a good at bat there, looked dangerous
  9. By many historic measures Roy Halladay was not a slam dunk candidate but he got in pretty easily. Sure he went and died and that helped... I wonder if the voters would have made a living Roy Halladay wait multiple ballots.
  10. I don't think this matters much. We are only just now dealing with starters from the era where many aren't going to put up high win totals. In 10 - 20 years there will be a lot of viable candidates who don't have 200+ wins.
  11. whyyyyyy is Vlad such an aggressive baserunner dude wears a f***ing sliding glove like he is Rajai Davis
  12. I'd just hate for there to be three different platforms for the fantasy league. You would have Fantrax, BJMB, and the third thing. It looks like in the Fantrax chat function you can "pop out" the chat and then click on people to send private/direct messages. Hmmmm maybe people should start using that? No notifications however you could always just say "let's take this to the chat" in your offer/email.
  13. If they send Kirk down I doubt it would have much to do with service time; it would probably have everything to do with not wanting to lose Reese McGuire right now. Kirk already has 47 days of service time from 2020 so they'd have to keep him down for a long time to get an "extra year" of control. I can't see this regime making their MLB team worse for two whole months in a compete year in order to milk an extra four months or so of control out of a 5'8", 260 pound catcher. Alejandro Kirk's athletic peak was probably when he was 14 years old anyway... If they do send him down and keep him down it is probably because a) they don't want to lose McGuire right away and everyone stays healthy and performs for the first couple of months so Kirk is just not needed
  14. If all three are healthy at the end of spring I think they should trade McGuire (probably for a PTBNL) and just sign some old guy to a minor league deal. Kirk is just way too special and interesting to not roster.
  15. I like basketball NOW but never liked it before. I like the lead swings in this style of game - even a 15 point lead in the fourth can feel a bit vulnerable. As far as I can tell most three point attempts now are just replacing what used to be inefficient and boring midrange shots anyway.
  16. Some of this stuff seems dumb and I doubt most of it will stick or make it to MLB but at this point I actually do trust MLB's ability to use the minors to experiment and make sensible rule changes at the highest level. The cognitive problem is that people notice the little rule changes they hate but nobody ever talks about the successful rule changes. Think about how successful the intentional walk rule change has been. I like the reliever matchup minimum they implemented as well. I think the collision rules have been positive for the sport. I think the base size change would have a bigger effect than they realize. I have always thought first base should be bigger and extend into foul territory though. For safety.
  17. If you assume the Springer shot went 380 feet (Statcast missed it) the Blue Jays hit flyballs a combined 1,753 feet off Michael Fulmer in that inning. Biggio and Bichette both had long flyouts, 330 feet.
  18. 111.2 20 degree LA 412 feet that's the good stuff
  19. Fulmer f***ing sucks. Springer looked like he was going to homer that entire PA.
  20. It was.... my suggestion. It's still on this page of this thread.
  21. I am leaning towards this approach in the DDL FWIW
  22. The Mets have such horrible pitching depth. If Carrasco is out for any amount of time they are one more injury away from Yamamoto/Gsellman/Reid-Foley starting games. It's hard to see it working out this year.
  23. Make the fix! We will have continuous priority like the LoD. That was always my intent.
