  1. Japan and the USA probably have a nice extradition agreement He might be able to hide out in China or North Korea though
  2. Just a simple dude, wiring $4.5m to the Yakuza on a weekday, then playing fetch with his dog and having dinner with his real human female wife who he is definitely 100% sexually attracted to, he's not a gay robot at all, who said that? Where is he?
  3. The Feds like to charge people with nebulous s*** like "Wire Fraud" if they do anything with money that is remotely illicit
  4. Yeah if I had to guess, this would be it. Ohtani's life is so boring he wanted to gamble. Knew enough to know he shouldn't do it directly. Had interpreter friend do it, under interpreter's name.
  5. but the fastball might have a good plane because he's short, and good ride 96 with a helpful release point and good IVB/spin could be plus plus
  6. Betts was basically a pure 2B. Last played SS at like 19 years old
  7. For $300M I was expecting to see more velo
  8. He can spin the breaking ball and the fastball has good shape, just not enough velo. Close though. 92.7 mph 17.5 IVB Slider is 81.4 with 2400 rpm To put this in perspective, he's already better than Manoah
  9. yes and it also wasn't exactly nuked maybe 100 mph or something not a cheapie but not a massive shot or anything
  10. Man. Nimmala just worked a hitters count then yanked a dinger off a crafty veteran with MLB time (Brian Moran). This after walking in his prior PA, against Jackson Stephens, decent MLB RP. Uhhhhh we might have a real one here.
  11. Good point on Votto vs Vogelbach If Votto had called Ross earlier, they probably never even sign Vogelbach Parsons in the pen might make sense. He has some stuff, so maybe he would be a better 1 inning reliever than Pop. But then you have White and Parsons in the pen, not really getting or being stretched out... I suppose they could still get longer outings in if they follow Gausman while he is building up and Kikuchi or Francis who are 5 and dive types.
  12. Horrendous bases loaded error by Lantigua at 2B, lol I just want to see Nimmala hit in the 9th.
  13. C Kirk 1B Vlad 2B Schneider 3B IKF SS Bo LF Varsho CF KK RF Springer DH Turner BN - Serven, Clement, Biggio, Vogelbach SP - Berrios, Bassitt, Kikuchi, Gausman, Francis RP - Garcia, Green, Mayza, Richards, Cabrera, White, Pearson, Pop IL - Jansen, Romano, Swanson IL or AAA - Manoah, Y. Rod AAA - Votto, Lukes, Horwitz, Espinal, Parsons, Espino, Eduardo Escobar (or released) There is no way Roden makes it. White is not getting cut. I have no idea what they do with Schneider, Clement, Espinal, Vogelbach... actually, add Lukes to that. Any of these guys could be in or out.
  14. Varsho had a great AB on the groundout here. Schneider's "reached on error" was smashed to 3B, should have been a hit.
  15. Clement just took a ball 6 inches off the dirt and ripped it up the middle what a stud
  16. Great play by IKF for those not watching. EE clanked the grounder to 3B, but IKF was hovering and was somehow able to collect it and gun out Acuna. Wow!
  17. Too bad for Horwitz that his spring has been so poor. It might have been his job to lose, and he may have lost it. For all we know.
  18. The "Steamer600 2024 Blue Jays" would be: C - Kirk 3.9 SS - Bo 3.7 1B - Vlad 3.6 LF - Varsho 2.9 RF - Springer 2.6 2B - Schneider 2.6 DH - Horwitz 2.0 3B - Espinal 1.9 CF - Kiermaier 1.8 C2 - Jansen 2.4 BN - Roden 1.7 BN - IKF 1.5 BN - Clement 1.5 Horwitz is getting disrespected hard by Atkins this spring. f***ing Vogelbach and Votto brought in.
  19. I feel like the Jays care too much about projections to demote DS. But this also might mean they keep Espinal, because his projections remain relatively solid.
  20. My dude, David Snider is in the lineup today at 2B, batting 5th. The annoying part about today's lineup is Eduardo Escobar getting more reps at 3B. You'd think they would have released him already and every available rep would be going to the bubble guys. Why not be sticking Espinal and Biggio at 3B to give them work there? Or DS even?
  21. Well, DS is the presumptive 2B starter in the above scenario. They could however put Biggio/Espinal at 2B, demote Schneider, and have Lukes or Vogelbuns on the bench.
  22. Sort of a big deal. Maybe it shows they are considering a bench of: Serven, Biggio, Clement, Espinal. Varsho being the backup CF and Biggio/Clement/IKF all being able to slot in at LF if necessary. Maybe RF too for some.
  23. I saw some of those Merrill swings while having my coffee. 106 mph lineout, a foul HR that was probably 110 mph... he looks legit. The groundout was even 96mph per Gameday, that's even a hard hit ball.
