So if we have everything in order and I'm not mistaken, it looks like only two picks will be dissolved right now - Gibbers' last two picks. You can still trade draft picks or prospects between now and the draft, and even during the draft, but there just has to be an equal # of minor league assets moving both ways. Not a lot of administration work this year at the cutdown deadline, but in future years it will be a flurry. I expect each team to cut several prospects next year, and the cutdown deadline will also serve as a prospect promotion checkpoint.

One of Quentin, Ethier, or Nava is eminently available for a starting pitcher. Prices vary but I'm not exactly sure how. Would also deal one for a prospect I like or a good pick, I suppose. Or anything that helps me.

It's boggling my mind right now that he's even in the picture. The highest you even see him going in recent mocks is like, 7th to Boston. I've seen him as low as 12th. It could actually happen.... and it would be GLORIOUS.

Yeah, that's kosher. As long as nobody ever goes over 12 minor league assets, which of course means that most trades during the draft will have an equal number of minor league pieces changing hands, since almost everybody will be going in with 12 assets.

The cutdown deadline, June 2nd at midnight. After that, the draft order is locked into place and we remove any surplus picks that people might have.

I'd say that he got exactly what he deserved, maybe more. The guy averaged like 1 win per 150 games played. He was lucky to get the consistent part time role that he had for nearly his whole career.

Pick 77 is available for something. Surplus pick for me, so it's gotta go. Could use one more half decent SP, or a relief upgrade, or an OF upgrade, or a C upgrade.

MigMon would be a near ceiling for TDA. Like, a 90th percentile projection. I think Montero's career MLB K/BB is substantially better than d'Arnaud's career minor league figure (might be wrong).

Nah, the Blue Jays lost. It has almost nothing to do with Dickey though, and almost everything to do with the terribleness of John Paul Arencibia. In the everlasting words of some poster whose name I can't remember, "As long as the current regime believes in Arencibia, I don't believe in the current regime".

Nah, not really. The only needle that moves on Travis is his debut. Broken toe does not = prospect status tumble. I still don't necessarily buy that he's "injury prone". A lot of his stuff was just fluke s***. Being said, his profile was never that of an elite prospect anyway. I wouldn't really expect much more than a .260/.315/.410 career line. Something like that.

Raw power is basically just how far the baseball goes when you square it up perfectly. Some people generate it with bat speed and backspin. Others generate it Wily Mo style, with biceps and little else. As opposed to game power, which you could define by in season ISO or HR rate/count.
