  1. hoarding! But yeah, they might be onto something. I like Nate Karns and Bedard is an awesome arm to get on a minor league deal. C ya Price! Wonder where he'll land...
  2. cuts processed and name orangered
  3. Ryan Dempster is a proven winner. World Series 2013 Premier League 2012
  4. Might even be behind Webster (so #7), and then Ranaudo and Workman are there too, with Barnes and Owens on the way, Rubby De La Rosa a wildcard... Solid pitching depth for Boston in 2014.
  5. Kind of surprised you want to trade him and keep Doubront and Kuntzler, TBH.
  6. such a nerd hire me when you're a baseball executive, plz I'd prefer one of those roles where I just kind of hang around at the stadium/office and "advise" / binge on coffee and gain weight slowly.
  7. Cleveland doesn't have a lot of money. I like Brantley well enough. Two-way player that seems like a safe bet to not suck, brings 3 win upside. Bat to ball skills, walks enough, runs the bases, can poke a few, cover CF (to some extent). If it's 4 sub-market years, then it could be smart.
  8. Maholm is under market but most of that is Kevin Towers' learning disability.
  9. I find it kind of hilarious that the Dodgers didn't just give him $6M or whatever. They act like money doesn't matter for years, and then all of a sudden it's hardball with Paul Maholm.
  10. It looks the same to me? Draft Central > Pre-Draft Player Rankings > Edit My Rankings
  11. Probably because there are no rosters yet. I'm assuming what we want to use is "submit offline draft results" or something like that?
  12. That's who I have penciled in, but Norris misses more bats and I'm not sure if I'm being mislead by Harrison's ERA in 2012 and 2011. Two years doesn't make someone a DIPS beater.
  13. As soon as you want (all cuts are final bro)
  14. Who has more 2014 upside - Zach McAllister, Bud Norris, Matt Harrison, or NL Jason Hammel? Toss up for my 20th keep... pitching is hard to find midseason so I figure I'll keep an SP6. These guys all have some things to like (and more to dislike). Keep lottery ticket Jon Villar, or keep 2 of those ^ arms? Someone give me advice so I can do the opposite.
  15. I believe all recent cuts have been made on the spread. Cuts made: Dinger No49 KingKat Havok Sammy BTS Boxy TCA FTD Still have to make cuts (one week left): Realmin Hurl GP JF Zeros TOfan silvergun speedygose spanky jaysblue fearless leader Reminder that all cuts once posted anywhere are final, and the enforcement of this rule is doled out at my (and Dinger/BTS') discretion. Only two managers currently has an excess prospect (Jays Fever and Silvergun, in case someone was looking to acquire a penny stock before the season starts). We f***ed up somewhere because silvergun and speedygose both are listed with waiver pick #88, so some clarification there would be kewl. Please check your rosters for any errors and discrepancies. Administration note: if you have 6 waiver picks and you submit a cutdown roster of 20 names, then your 6th pick immediately vanishes into the ether. To use the extra pick, you would have to only keep 19 dudes.
  16. Terrible team, but at least it's stupid young. A couple of breakouts + some good adds and maybe you can finish as high as 16th or so...... in 2016. On that note, If I were you I would keep Didi and cut Chavez.
  17. And Hughes. And Nolasco... Maybe.
  18. Not a huge gap but I'd rather have Maholm, biggest factor being age.
  19. How do the Astros not offer him like, 2/8 to be their #4?
  20. Paul Maholm is signing a f***ing minor league deal? Looks like it is a buyer's market for pitching, despite what KevTo gave to Bronson "BP" Arroyo. Maholm > Arroyo
  21. Multiple trusted sources now confirming the fake report to me via Twitter DM.
  22. Guy who works for the team just told me that AA is trying to get Drew and TWO pitchers (Burnett + one of the others) to all sign together, at the same time. Some big splash media show thing. ... not.
  23. Not really, Arroyo's profile is a lot different. If anything it helps their case since Arroyo might have gotten more than expected, and now $13M for someone like Ubaldo might be looked at as kind of cheap in comparison to Arroyo. But the Garza deal is a better rough barometer. Much better. Take the injury discount that was applied to Garza and rename it the draftpick discount to apply it to Ubaldo or poopface.
  24. Corbin Miley Cahill McCarthy Arroyo Bradley Delgado Hudson (DL) The DBacks pitching depth chart is now antifragile, to a small extent - they could actually stand to benefit from a certain amount of injury shock. Unpredictable injury to Arroyo = Bradley's a chance to breakout, X WAR upgrade for Arizona?
  25. Kevin Towers is a buffooooooooooooooooon
