  1. GP has cut Cody Buckel, Roman Quinn, and Brandon Maurer from his farm.
  2. Stro' my god! Marcus is OTB. Serious offers only.
  3. It would be JUST like AA to go down to Buffalo to scout a guy, determine that he's good enough to be worth a shot in the rotation, and then DFA him after 11.2 innings. I would love it! Please happen.
  4. I really haven't been the luckiest with trades this year. Maybe I should make more of them? Acquire Brandon Beachy -> immediate second straight TJS Villar for Delgado -> garbage Bauer for Olt -> Bauer immediately (ostensibly) turns his career around Belt for Salazar -> oof Something for Joe Kelly -> Kelly hurt immediately Something for Jim Henderson -> Henderson hurt immediately Something for de Aza -> underperforms reasonable expectations by miles, starts losing playing time to MOISES SIERRA Need to keep trying, I think. Offers plz. Open to trading 1 or 2 of Stroman, Harvey, Manaea for big 2014 infusions.
  5. Not really understanding the utility of charting ISO against HR rate.
  6. The thing with Dingers side is I just don't see the motivation. He was already the strongest team, now he's just .... The strongest team. You sell a 21 year old phenom to increase your Championship % by a few percentage points? I dunno. Playoffs will still be largely a crapshoot even with his roster.
  7. So much value for the hurl. Selling high on Poo Holes, selling high on Waino, buying low on Fernandez (way low) and Carp.
  8. Draft has been moved to tomorrow night in Dingers kitchen. Live attendance is mandatory. No computers allowed. This is Official and Final.
  9. When will you be back? We can move it.
  10. Nelson Cruz has 1 less homer than the Royals
  11. Wow, I thought Jacoby Ellsbury got off to a hot start. He must've had a terrible May. 0.4 total WAR through his first ~50 games of that 7/$153 contract... . . . .. . . Tex has wrist inflammation. Old man Beltran got hurt. Jeter bombing his victory lap year. CC declined fast like a fatty should, Soriano playing to his age.. Yankees gonna Yank.
  12. It's not like it's COMPLETELY out of nowhere. 2013 = worst wRC+ since his rookie/sophomore seasons, worst HR total and ISO since that same time, and an ALARMING spike in GB% (I'm guessing groundballs don't turn into singles very often for country breakfast). But yeah, those are mostly hindsight, post facto indicators. I do think it's fair to conclude that his talent level isn't what it used to be though. Or, something has changed in his approach. It's like him and the entire f***ing Royals roster have been specifically told to beat the ball into the dirt. They are 2nd highest in GB% in baseball, behind only SDP. Worst ISO in baseball by almost 0.020 points...
  13. If everybody wants to wait a month then we can, but last year we did it right after the MLB draft. If a player doesn't sign you can still keep him.
  14. Tip - own less Padres hitters. It's ok though, look at my last 5 SP: Danny Salazar - NA Jorge De La Rosa Brandon Cumpton Jake Arrieta Eric Stults 20 team mixed leagues bro. Hard.
  15. Crazy. Someone on a Toronto sports forum went to the same Toronto school as you. CRAZY.
  16. Gallo and Sano is a huuuuuge package of fantasy upside. I love it long term for speedy.
  17. Kevin: Please call up George Springer as soon as next week. Warm regards, ~~~N~~~
  18. I have big SP needs. I'll send you a pigeon.
  19. I'd give you any # of prospects and picks that your heart desires, + Danny Salazar. plus Alex Gordon plus a 24 plus a bj
  20. Well said. They are powerful tools for player evaluation, but they aren't the end all be all, nor do they purport to be. Trying to predict/project what players will do is only their purpose in the most shallow and superficial sense. The real utility lies not in the conclusions of projection systems, but in how and why they got there, taken in conjunction with information like scouting reports. There is A LOT of information and data that projection systems can parse much better than humans, but at the same time, there is also A LOT of information that humans can interpret more effectively than projection machines. Knowing which is which separates the Friedman's from the Anthopouli.
  21. I emplore you not to look at Papelbons peripherals. Should've kept Jimmy instead of trading him for a measly draft pick upgrade.
  22. I remember trading some B- closer right before he asploded last year to Spanky for Joel Peralta. I seem to have a knack for that.... There's also Pap Smear who I traded before he became a useless piece of junk. Forget what I got for him though.Might have been underwhelming.
