  1. Before we do cuts next month and get into DDL Season #3, does anybody have any general concerns, things they want to discuss, votes they want to bring forth, or anything of the like?
  2. most places are better than that snobby, 80 daily hit count try-hard web hole.
  3. Where can you find Cuban stats for guys like Rusney?
  4. Just need one or two more guys to say that they like this trade for me.... um, for my scrapbook.
  5. Your offer was pretty fair. I wasn't intent on trading Ryu though or anything, I just liked the value and upside with Hamels 2.0 and the newest Mystery Cuban Sensation.
  6. Just Correa and The Franchise, Jesse Winker.
  7. Your rotation certainly could be really good, but it's littered with TJS recovery guys and volatile prospects right now so a lot of your names could go *poof* at any moment which, of course, is basically your luck.
  8. It would be good, but no London Slayers rotation...
  9. Indeed it is Devout Dan. Castillo seems like a pretty big risk due to the lack of projections, but with Ryu's shoulder fatigue last year maybe the risk cancels out. Check out Ryu's top BP player similarity scores: 1 95 Johnny Cueto 2013 2.97 2 93 Kevin Appier 1995 4.02 3 92 Don Newcombe 1953 0.00 DNP 4 91 Orel Hershiser 1986 4.36 5 91 Matt Morris 2002 3.68 6 91 Roy Halladay 2004 4.47 7 89 CC Sabathia 2008 3.02 8 89 Johnny Antonelli 1957 4.16 9 88 Andy Pettitte 1999 4.93 10 88 John Danks 2012 5.87
  10. Also Joe Wieland, Luebke, Eddie Butler, Hellickson. Boxy should just keep them all and ~6 or so are almost bound to stick.
  11. those were not funny jokes
  12. Actually he's a fat Asian believe it or not
  13. He's been a decent arm for the last two years for Toronto. A guy who can get righties out, throw multiple innings, go through a lineup once (unless it's too lefthanded - lefties crush him). He's out of options too so he'll almost certainly be the #7 RP out of the gate, unless he gets hurt or traded before opening day. He's a sinker/slider guy who only sits ~90 and doesn't even get groundballs though. Could be terrible at any given point.
  14. Yeah I like the order in the top portion. I'd take DJ Davis right off though probably and I've never really heard of those guys at the bottom. Lugo can f*** off too and there are a few other guys who should be on this IMO.
  15. Sanchez in all likelihood never falls on though
  16. I'm guessing the Rays would also be interested in Urena and Travis.
  17. You drafted well now here's a beer cookie, you fekking bike.
  18. Yeah I'd pick those three as well. But even then, with keeping only 15 guys and the way hockey prospects can develop... I mean, for example, if you drafted Kadri in this league you probably would have given up on him and traded him for whatever before he finally turned fantasy relevant. What are the promotion rules in this league?
  19. Tap the breaks there bud. Chances are that the vast majority of your current prospects will never have fantasy impact in this league.
  20. Can someone explain to me why I have multiple prospects that were real life 7th round picks? Seems pretty retarded.

Yeah it doesn't get much worse than giving Phaneuf 7/49. In baseball terms I want to say that that's the rough equivalent of, say, the Josh Hamilton deal (or something like that). So many bad trades in recent Leafs history. As a Boston fan my personal favourite has to be the Rask deal. Used to be the Kessel trade but then the Bruins had to ruin everything by trading Seguin for junk.... This is another personal fave though: 2011 draft, Toronto trades picks #30 and #39 for pick #22. They pick Tyler Biggs at #22, a guy described as having 3rd line upside who currently has like 2 points for the Marlies. Anaheim picks Rickard Rakell (hey, at least he's in the NHL (I think) and his name is cool) and John Gibson super-stud with those two picks.
  22. Fake interest as a long-shot effort to influence Toritani?

How can anyone not be a fan of Phil Kessel? Sure he's a one way player but he's a point-per-game 30 goal scorer in his physical prime. Goal scorers often get unwarranted reputations as being inconsistent. It just comes with the skill set, because goals are a rare commodity. Even 50 goal snipers spend ~40 games of each season failing to contribute in their biggest way. Just because a guy who collects ~6 apples every year seems to find the score sheet more often doesn't make them more "consistent" than a 30 goal scorer. The Leafs problems are the same as they've been for the past few years. 1. Phaneuf 2. Secondary scoring 3. Roster construction around the edges 4. Coaching Kessel is one of the few good things they have going for them... maybe it is so bad that they should trade him for a haul though...
