Love his BP swing. The way he loads is like Bautista/Donaldson. In game, much less impressive though. Much less force, flatter, more abbreviated finish... more like a choppy Rajai Davis swing. -

Norris Pompey Sanchez Hoffman Pentecost Osuna Travis Castro Urena I'd say 10th at best. Pretty hard for me to put a 16 year old bat-only prospect ahead of any of those names. Of course, by the time he signs, Pompey, Sanchez, Norris, and Travis all have a chance to be off the prospect list, more or less.

17 year olds in the American rookie leagues are relatively rare (average league age is 20). 16 year olds basically don't play affiliated ball unless it's in a foreign league like the DSL (and even then, there might be one or two).

Oh my. Those are laser beams. Much better than the other videos I saw on youtube, where his swing looked kind of rigid and he looked pretty unathletic. Also, note the Blue Jays gear... I'm guessing he's not a legitimate candidate to play 3B?

That's an overly pessimistic viewpoint. Didn't people say similar, hand-wavy, dismissive things about Lowry before he came to Toronto? You could just as easily say that he simply hasn't learned how to play properly yet in his ~120 or so professional games.

The fact that he's dumb is stopping him from reaching his potential, basically. You seem to admit that he has a lot of unrealized upside.

You know more about basketball than I do but I feel like some would disagree. I think it's hard to score 51 points in a game and not have a high upside.

I understand Terrence Ross' upside but between his playoff disappearance last season and the lack of growth this season, he'd be my trade chip of choice. Does he have good value as a 23 year old who was an 8th overall pick?

Is there a reason? Sure. Yahoo is stupid and frequently refuses to implement obvious innovations. You'd like to assume they'll have a DL+ since hockey this year has an IR+.... but you never know. This is the company that continually hurts their own product with ill-advised UI "updates" that actually make navigation worse.

Not really sure what we can do about that. My opinion on it would probably just be, "them's the breaks, sonny". Maybe Yahoo will put an IR+ / DTD type of thing in baseball this season.
