  1. Meh, 1.5 seems a bit high for a first year player who projects to have a 60 wRC+ this year, no?
  2. So witty. Looked who thanked your post, the other 15 year old birthday money recipients. Lol, I miss those days.
  3. I agree. You want to do another wager on Goins being above or below a 1 WAR for $50? Everyone including yourself are convinced he'll never do it. Watta you say?
  4. Make it 20 so we can get a more accurate statistical outcome. Lol.. Seriously though, 20 starts minimum?
  5. I'll take this as insurance policy that Dickey does well this year. OK, you're on.
  6. It's not statistically backed, its just my opinion.
  7. A little word of advice kid. If you're going to comment on somebody's wife, keep it on an Internet message board, which you little dweebs are already aware of. We're arguing baseball, no need to get people's family members involved right?
  8. I never said I was qualified. I just have an opinion. You guys are way to hostile when someone expresses a non statistical point if view. Chill.
  9. Can you honestly say that Dickey's numbers in the past four years, especially at his age, are indicative on what he'll put up in the next few years?
  10. I never said I don't agree with them, I just don't live and die by them. The human element has and always will be an important part of the assessment process.
  11. Goins kept his front shoulder closed nicely against the lefty. Nice double.
  12. The same system that says a 39 year old body will find it difficult to sustain a professional sporting season injury free.
  13. My point is his stats over the past four years are IRRELEVANT and NL aided. Wow.
  14. Right. So his ERA in his first year in the AL was 4.21. Being one year older (39), he projects to have an ERA at or above 4.5. Anything else Einstein?
  15. So you expect an aging NL pitcher to put up those same numbers in the AL? Good God.
  16. Not really, depends on the individual. By mid season if Goins is s***ing the bed, I'll be the first one there to get him out of here. I just see potential in the player, that's it. He has a decent enough swing to turn him into a league average player.
