  1. Orelvis looks so much better at the plate so far this spring, a lot of good at bats. Pearson looked phenomenal that last inning.
  2. Berrios getting lit up in the first inning.
  3. $6 million when he was 16.
  4. Yeah but some players feel that they need to hit 500 ft bombs. All players with enough power should try and apply a Miguel Cabrera approach. It does seem that a lot of players are staying back longer in the past 3-4 years. Check the ego at the door, nice to see. Speaking of which, Chapman has made good strides it seems since last July/August. It is a contract year for him.
  5. The double he hit a few days ago off the LCF wall was encouraging. I hope he realizes that he has enough raw power to drive the ball flat footed the other way.
  6. Yeah.. Putting up almost 5 WAR with a league average bat is amazing. We'll find out in the next few years how the trade will pan out, but I don't see Moreno and Gurriel combining for a 5 WAR short term.
  7. I'm hoping and I do believe that Mattingly will help Varsho a lot offensively.
  8. Not enough contact ability for the fifth spot, although the power is there. Belt/Kirk would be better suited for the 4/5 imo. I also hope Schneider uses Merrifield, Espinal or Jansen in the 6th spot vs LHP more often. I would think Merrifield would be a better option at batting 6th than Varsho, even vs RHP. Varsho should be cemented in the 7 spot.
  9. Where do you guys see Varsho batting in the line up?
  10. I know it's only ST but Varsho's hit tool doesn't look to encouraging so far.
  11. WTF are we being so aggressive on the bases this early in ST? Rivera is still a clown.
  12. Hopefully we see Teideman today.
  13. I bet there hasn't been a dick that you didn't like sucking on, hey Dick?
  14. Isn't that the year Lamp was 11-0 out of the pen?
  15. I was at the game where I feel the city started catching Jays fever. It was late May or early June in 1983 during a week night game vs the Orioles I believe. We were up by a run in the top of ninth with our closer Joey Mclaughlin on the mound. If we win, we move into first place in the division and that would make it the latest in the season we had ever been in first. The sparse crowd were all standing chanting "we're number one". Joey came through and we hit a milestone.
  16. A responsible government should never promote gambling like it is. So many young men are being crippled, financially and emotionally. It affects your family life negatively, creates anxiety. I'm still f***ing stunned on how our government allows the amount of advertising as they do.
  17. Nice signing, constructed well. Decent off season so far, but i still hate your face Ross.
  18. Marlins got robbed. There's two prospects going the Twins way also, with one of them being highly ranked. WTF?
  19. Not if Jansen is going to continue spiking low strikes. Given the fact that our three best SP utilize the bottom of the strike zone with great sink, i think we see the superior low ball framer in Kirk catching more than you think.
  20. Agreed.. This aspect should make him realize that the team is better as a whole with him at second base.
  21. Yeah but Jansen needs to stay healthy. Might not be a bad idea to have Varsho start 20 or so games at catcher.
  22. Biggio is a lost soul also, but the addition of Mattingly could turn him around.
