  1. Keep crunching those numbers kid.
  2. I also recall seeing a lot of base through the right side with two strikes or with a runner on first base. Whatever the case may be with his BABIP, he had a solid approach in 2015 and he should hopefully continue with it next season. TBH, I couldn't give a flying f*** what his BABIP ends up being next season, just hoping he continues with the approach and the numbers will work out with am obvious regression.
  3. Fair enough, but i wouldn't be at all surprised if he was closer to .350, given the fact that he for the most part just takes what is given.
  4. Maybe Colabello's BABIP is better because he hits the ball to all fields with authority, opposed to topping pitches on the outer half into a shift. "It's entirely possible that Colabello built his 2015 offensive season largely on duck-farts, that won't transfer over." Does anybody actually watch the games anymore?
  5. Oh, f***.. The Red Sox have got some serious mental issues dishing out that kind of term for Price. There is no way the difference in the numbers Price will put up versus Estrada or Happ will be worth the extra $18M per. This smells like another Red Sox bust move.
  6. Assets are not proven and Butler is a one sided average player. Lose lose.
  7. Wow, this magnifies the trade for Donaldson that much more. If the A's are that strapped for cash where they needed to avoid paying a player of Donaldson's calibre $12-15mil for four years, then I would really hate to be an A's fan right about now.
  8. Eric Thames is making $800K US in Korea and has one year left on his contract. He was on the Blair show last week and said he's totally open in coming back to the MLB for the 2017 season. He also said he has totally matured as a hitter as he has learned to recognize and lay off the off speed stuff out of the strike zone, which led to him drawing 103 BB (91K) in 142 games. He put up video game type stats this year.. .381 /.497 /.790 47HR / 140RBI He also stole 40 bases while getting caught only eight times. I know it's Korea but he seemed to have turned a corner. Someone will probably give him a ST invite and has a decent chance at a guaranteed league minimum deal for one year. He could be a LHH Colabello type with more speed.
  9. Thanks King !! You're a gem, don't ever forget that.
  10. Oh wow, i didn't realize it was a pre existing condition. I assumed it was fractured from the hot shot he took, which coincidentally hit him right in that same region.
  11. He's also going to be on Baseball Central at noon with Blair.
  12. His fracture is nonunion and I guess that couldn't have been determined then, as they thought it would heal on its own. Without proper blood flow to the injured area it won't heal, thus being a "nonunion" fracture. A small plate is screwed down to allow a stable environment where proper blood flow is reestablished. They waited because it's always best to try to avoid surgery, but in this case it was necessary. The bone will heal, but let's hope he doesn't lose any mobility. He's a young healthy athlete with the best rehabilitation sources at his feet. He'll be fine.
  13. You should always try to avoid shoulder surgery. He most likely damaged his shoulder coming back to soon and while swinging the bat. Poor kid wanted to be back so bad he steered himself into shoulder surgery, one of the worst types. He's young though and with what he has available medically speaking, he'll be ok. You never know though with shoulder injuries, scary. Maybe the Goins wagers based on over 600 PA may not have to be prorated after all. Lol..
  14. Holy f***..
  15. Are you seriously using the parks they play in as anything relevant when comparing two light hitting middle infielders? I think line drive rates along with bb%, OBP type of numbers are relevant where the park is irrelevant, unless you're playing in Oakland. BTW, all of the HRs Goins hit this year were legit.
  16. Yes but Osuna is just the type of player that anybody in need would trade for. I don't think you can even fathom trading him without realizing what he can bring as a starter.
  17. What's funnier is people talking about trading Osuna. WTF?
  18. Over 600 PA, he does 1.5 WAR blindfolded. He'd most likely be around the 2.2 mark.
  19. Lol at people trashing Goins' playoff performance. The best of players have horrible playoff numbers ,not a player who fell into extended playing time due to an injury and faced a ton of top end LHP.
  20. Lol..
  21. No problem. You love taking a beating, eh? I hope to God Tulo or Travis don't suffer a season ending injury in spring training, but it would be hilarious to watch you and your pack get slapped again, but this time at a different level. Funny how the Goins discussion has elevated beyond him sticking to whether or not he'd be a viable starter. Never though this would ever happen, remember?
  22. Kind of a pointless discussion since he's not starting (barring an injury) and not worth trading as he'll provide more value as insurance that what we'd get back. Theoretically if he started 140 games minimum, he'd be in the 2-2.5 WAR range. Boxcar can lead the laughter, but you already went down this road before, did you not?
  23. Lol Zobrist.. Nice try though.
  24. Without acquiring Price, Tulo, Revere and Lowe, we probably don't make the playoffs. The dramatic come from behind series win vs Texas was a huge benchmark that wouldn't have happened. We were also a first and third with no out situation away from taking a solid Royals team to game seven. Imagine if this all didn't happen. Let that sink in.
  25. Stop talking out of your ass. There is no rebuild needed, more of a restructuring. Why do people not take into account that Shapiro will be working with an actual budget now.
