  1. I wouldn't count on Stripling being a solid #6.
  2. Has Gausman made any fundamental changes since leaving Baltimore that has led to his better numbers?
  3. Semien won't be able to get to the inside fastball in 2-3 years like he is now. Crazy to give him a contract like that.
  4. Mike Trout might have something to say about this. I also expect Springer to be a bit higher (.860ish). No respect for Teo.
  5. Not a bad little signing, promising underlying numbers.
  6. There's no way Shatkins gives that up for 2 years of Ramirez.
  7. If Moreno isn't involved, they probably hang up. I say sign his brother who is a FA to play LF/CF and use Gurriel as part of a package to get Ramirez from Cleveland to play 3B. S. Marte 4/100? Gurriel, Kirk and Groshans at the minimum for Ramirez but I think Cleveland will want Orelvis instead of Groshans in that deal.
  8. C'mon guys, let it be.
  9. Well, if Biggio's production will be at its best with his current approach, then he'll have his struggles holding on to an every day role. Then again, I'll reserve judgement due to the fact he had nagging injuries this year. I have no issue giving him another shot as the starting second baseman. Bat him ninth with a short leash though, as I'm sure Espinal could probably match his overall value.
  10. Biggio's swing is too long with an exaggerated launch angle for a player with below average power. He'll never in his life be able to handle high MLB fastballs when not looking for it with his current swing. He needs to level his swing out a bit and roll his top hand over more, creating more line drives. This whole launch angle ******** is not for him, the sooner he realizes the better. Look what happened to Cody Bellinger, and he's naturally stronger than Biggio. MLB pitching will attack and expose those holes.
  11. Dusty Baker < Cito Gaston
  12. What are we looking at in Berrios extension numbers? 5/125?
  13. Dumping Grichuk somehow and signing Starling Marte is probably a priority plus event imo. That alone would keep the offence at its current plateau without losing out on team overall defence in the likely event of Semien leaving. If Biggio is used in a trade, Espinal is the logical choice to start at 2B, Groshans' bat is not MLB ready yet. Signing Iglesias is also high priority, maybe he'll sign for a shorter term - higher annual like 2/35. Enough with trying to be cute with the pen, we need stability and another high leverage arm right out of the gate next season. Wins in April and May are just as important as in September and hopefully Shatkins comes to this realization.
  14. Imagine his bat in our line up?
  15. Sorry I haven't been following the whole thread, but doesn't Roark come off the books this year?
  16. When is Freddy Freeman not hitting line drives?
  17. Strike zone seems to be favourable to the Red Sox.
  18. That's bull. There are some B type prospects we could have moved for pen arms, McGuire could have been involved also.
  19. If missing the playoffs means that Chuckles is gone, I'll take it. If Montoya is back come ST, there's going to be tons of anger directed at Shatkins and rightfully so.
  20. It's so painfully unreal
  21. How the f*** do you not walk Judge with first base open? f*** YOU RAYS
  22. Let's get a base runner and make it interesting. Still no out.
  23. So you think Boston's top of the ninth would have played out the same way if Soto had hit a slam?
  24. We also need a decent start from Ryu, but I'm sure it will be all hands on deck.
