We took our grandaughters to a mariners game when they were about 7 and 5. We were sitting in the 100’s and it was packed with Canadians. A couple of 20 year olds were screaming at Mariners , not just heckling, but really,foul and abusive stuff. They thought they were funny. Standing on the backs of seats screaming. It was embarassing and you could see how most sitting around us were uncomfortable. My girls were upset and security just stood there watching this display. Finally my 60 year old hubby stood up and told them to shut up and sit down . They actually did and one turned around and apologized. But to this day those girls remember that game . So sitting in a certain section doesnt negate the chance of running into idiots. Security should have stepped in.

Mariners. Before you kick me out of the country, it was not the Mariners fault the Jays screwed up. I see a lot of Mariners games and they have loyal fans that have supported them for just as long as Jays fans. The fans deserve it.

Most valuableplayer manoah Most improved Stripling Biggest disappointment The entire batting order. This team struggled the entire year to move runners and score runs. How many times did they get the lead runner on on and couldnt score him. The entire bottom of the order was practically useless. Tapia, zimmer. Bradley jr. Biggio sitting on the bench. Biggio would finally get to play, start hitting and he would be on the bench for Tapia. Jansen was hurt, springer was hurt. Bo was struggling for for at least a third of the season and vladdy, while not bad, couldnt seem to adjust to how the pitchers were pitching him. The entire season, the team always seemed to be hitting with two out. I dont know if that is just my perception, but they certainly were not the powerhouse that all the experts seemed to,think they would be. Coaching staff. Definitely improved when Schneider joined. Yes he made some terrible mistakes in WC. I thought he should have started Gausman, then Manoah. Less pressure for a kid. Atkins I think he should be fired, but probably wont be. Shapiro will protect him. They have had 7 years to accomplish turning this team into a team with a pipeline of good young players. Everyones response when they were hired was well now we will have a great farm team and a winning major team. Well we still have neither . So far the good young players are attributed to AA. I am not saying they have done nothing right. Of course they have the team won 92 games. But still have won nothing. Overall culture. I hate all this Barrio, HR jacket ice throwing crap. Grow up and be professional. there seem to be no consequences for standing around admiring balls. When you watch a team like the Guardians, everyone of them runs every hit out. They play hard, always trying to advance to next base. I do think Schneider will improve that. From the start of the season, I thought there was something not right about the team, always waiting for that game saving HR, but really couldn't put my finger on it. But pitchers who cant go,three times through a line up and a bullpen that was mediocre at best, and barely better than the mess last year is what did the most damage to the hopes of jays fans. If this embarassing exit doesnt fire up the FO, neither of them will last another year and I am too old to old for another rebuild.

Idon't want to fire Schneider, but Atkins should be gone tomorrow morning. Two years ago I said they needed to fix the bullpen. Here we are with the same mess. Every knowledgeable poster on this board spent the off season listing names of pitchers that would help, and we did nothing. I never liked Shapiro, and was one of the few that wanted Anthopolous. If Shapiro won't fire Atkins, he should be packing his bags too. Tapia was a miserable joke from the start and he was one of the causes of this loss today. They never did anything about Bichette. Shapiro and Atkins have had six/seven years now and we are no further along again than when they started. Who else in baseball would be allowed to have this mess after all this time. It is not like Rogers hasn't given them the payroll. Both managers watch Vladdy struggle all year, and did nothing to try and help fix him. This team was built like it would be a powerhouse with big sluggers and most of them fizzled. I have been a jays fan since the first game and have seen thousands of games, but this is without a doubt the worst.

I dont think Schneider would embarass a player like that. Teo has struck out 29 times in August and made numerous dubious plays in the field. I think he has been playing hurt. No excuse for not even trying. I think he thought it was gone and that is why so little effort
