  1. Not gibbons fault for line up. But certainly is for leaving dickey in. Everyone here knew he should be gone.
  2. Did I miss something? Wasn't Dickey supposed to start tonight.
  3. Me neither as long as it is not Francisco.
  4. Brett lawrie is back playing where he should be
  5. Yes, but francisco has cost them more than he has given them. While thir bats were hot their defense wS even better.
  6. This team started to struggle when they decided to give up defense and switched lawrie back and forth to get a few HR's from francisco.
  7. They have been playing without lind, cecil, lawrie, morrow, and then rasmus for most of the year, and yet they are still in first. Positivity.
  8. I do. Said so in the off season, and more sure of it now.
  9. Maybe they just think why bother trying to reason with people that love to see the jays lose, so they can say "told ya"
  10. Why let the trolls win? That is exactly what they set out to do. :-)
  11. Thank you. I think this person was that sempai that is still on the other board.
  12. So I guess you will be back when the Jays win the division to tell everyone that you were wrong?????
  13. And if they couldn't lock them up??
  14. Today on PTS, Zaun had an interesting trade proposal. Stroman and sanchez for Price and Zobrist. Would anyone on here do this trade?
  15. Interesting read on TSN about this very subject: http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=454378
  16. I read this a while back, and he was also on Sirius radio being interviewed about it. He even said, that he knew people would say it was sour grapes, but they had callers who had played minor league ball call in and say that it was probably even worse than what he was saying. This is not the guys that get the million dollar bonuses, but the bulk of players that make up the minor leagues. A couple of guys that called in, were even known by the hosts, but they didn't give their names, as one of them was still in AAA trying to get any kind of call up. One of the callers was a pitcher, who just had one injury after another, and he was only hanging on, because if he could get a call up for even just one day, his pay could help him get out of the hole that he was in. To me it is the dirty side of the game, that not many people know about.
  17. And then he turned around a week later and said the Jays should trade for Samardzia.
  18. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb This article on fox, should help to give you guys some confidence in this team. Of course, this old lady, told you in off season that this was going to be a good team :=)
  19. Not gloating yet, but enjoying every single boot of the ball, or pitcher meltdown in Beantown. they are starting to worry though. Cherrington and his henchmen in Atlanta today. Talk of them putting all the blame on A J.

  21. Thank you for the mother's day wish!
  22. I know there aren't many woman on this board, but everyone has a mother. Give her a hug, send her an email card, or phone her. It will mean more than you will ever know. Thought this was appropriate for a baseball message board. At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked, 'Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?' The little boy nodded in the affirmative. 'Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?' The little boy nodded 'yes'. 'So,' the coach continued, 'I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him a pecker-head, dickhead or *******. Do you understand all that? ' The little boy nodded 'yes' again. He continued, 'And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play too, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach "a dumb ass or ********" is it?' The little boy shook his head 'NO'. 'GOOD', said the coach . . . 'Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother!'
  23. Yes the vast majority projected a .500 team with that being the best they will achieve. I was one of the few that disagreed. Time will tell. But if I am right, I guarantee that the number slingers will come up with a new projection, that if they had taken a nine year study, they would have been right all along. Numbers never lie. :-)
