  1. When has "going for it" ever worked out? Name a team that had a crazy offseason and won the WS the following season.
  2. They could sign David and Trade Bautista, just as an example. Won't happen though
  3. He definitely was a realistic option. We'll see how much he got. But if its 3/45 or less, we should have been in.
  4. I find all of these comments from Price and his agent to be very unprofessional. Just stirring the pot for no reason.
  5. And an old Canada day jersey too. A jersey that Donaldson has never actually worn. Not to mention he is wearing the grey road pants which doesn't make sense. Just a terrible photoshop job. Seriously, how do these people get paid to make such big mistakes?
  6. Saunders has more upside than Revere. I would love it if Saunders could play a decent LF everyday but I don't think that is the case.
  7. This is the Padres we're talking about. And i'm sure there are several teams who would like to have Revere. He's pretty much a guaranteed 2 WAR for around 6 million.
  8. You find those two players equal in talent? And FYI, Edwin won't even land Salazar
  9. I'm calling Cueto to the twins. 6 years, 150 million.
  10. He was referring to the system at the start of 2015. Stroman/Norris/Sanchez/Castro/Osuna/Hoffman... s***, now that I'm typing all of these names i'm kind of mad that we no longer have half of them. The playoffs WERE pretty sweet though.
  11. All jokes aside, Trout strikes me as the type of guy who WOULD take a pay cut to play somewhere he likes. Not Harper though
  12. Jesus Christ. 34 million a year??? Highest paid player in baseball now.
  13. No they won't lol
  14. So both Greinke and Price just went with the highest bidder. Like seriously, wouldn't you rather take 10-15 million less and sign with a better team like the Cards/Cubs/Dodgers?
  15. I remember those dark times... False reports and all
  16. He either doesn't understand, or doesn't care. You can literally sign every big name free agent in every offseason and still not win the WS. The goal should be to contruct a team that has the ability to make the playoffs every year, because we all know the playoffs are a crapshoot once you get in. Going "all in" for a 1-2 year shot at a WS title is not smart. It never works out. But these people that complain haven't been following baseball long enough to know that.
  17. I like it
  18. Were you able to find employment?
  19. Haha yeah I know it sucks. I'm considering going to night school/summer school because I don't have the Calculus credit and I might need it for certain programs.
  20. Miles is alright
  21. Cool, thanks for sharing. I'm currently going through a bit of a "what the f*** am I doing?" phase right now, and I always like to hear stories like yours.
  22. That's awesome. Just wondering... do you currently work for a professional sports organization? Did it work out for you?
  23. What do you do for work and why did you have to go back to school?
