    Theory: Bauer always intended on taking huge 1 year deals (or high AAV, low years) because he knew he would get in trouble at some point and possibly lose his contract.

    Nope. I've been saying since early on that IF we do make the wildcard game this year, we will lose it in epic fashion like the Os did in 2016. I fully expect it to happen.

    Except this time we have 4 games against the Whitesox, a very solid team. Looking like I may win those tix with my 7-7 prediction lol. I’d love to be wrong though.

    The difference there is that the Giants are using him as a last resort while Charlie would go to him in the 8th inning of a tie game. But nice to see he still sucks. I did not appreciate his attitude after blowing multiple games here and taking 0 accountability.

    Our best reliever pitched 1 inning on August 10th (4 run lead), and 1 inning on August 15th (5 run lead). He won’t pitch again until August 20th at the earliest. There were also 2 offdays in between that timeframe. Each game was close/winnable at points in the later innings. What the actual f*** Charlie? Atkins, be better. We need to get rid of this clown.

    Im still losing my mind over the fact that Romano wasn’t used in either of these games when they had offdays Monday and Thursday. More people should be talking about this. Unless im missing something?

    I wouldn’t even say they’re out of contention. They’re 4 games back from the second wildcard spot with 43 games to go. Yeah they’ve played like s*** this past week but they can easily go on another run. I have no delusions that we would actually win the wildcard game or advance at all in the playoffs. They’re just not there yet. And yes Charlie really needs to be fired in the offseason.

    Yeah that one is definitely the worst trade they made this year. Hand is like the one guy I was hoping they wouldn’t trade for, his stats this season are terrible. He seems cooked. Waste of an intriguing prospect. I know we have a decent wealth of prospects at the Catcher position in the organization but that doesn’t mean you have to give away guys for nothing. Adams could have been a side piece in a better trade.

    Its still not bad if they offer Semien the qualifying offer and get a draft pick back. Same with Ray. And we can definitely still make the playoffs this season. Maybe the offers just weren’t worth it for Semien and Ray. Maybe they expected the bullpen to be better down the stretch. Im sure they still expect to make the wildcard game this year.
