    Honestly the return on that deal was probably a bit lighter than what it should have been, but Scherzer kinda had them by the balls. IMO they should have traded them separately

    Also something to note is that Stroman was supposed to be a free agent last year but he decided to sit out the season pushing his free agency back a year. No way the Jays FO could have expected that

    Sucks to give up on Martin already... and SWR makes it hurt way more. On the other hand, how many prospects did we trade at the 2015 deadline and how many actually turned out to be major leaguers? Like 1? Matt Boyd?

    I heard Martin has some kind of hand injury he's been playing through... maybe they think this injury is a bad one and he'll miss significant development time next year??

    Still doesn't seem like a reason to sell short on Martin... Has Atkins ever won a medium-high level trade? Stroman trade turned out to be kind of a disaster.. and this one could be worse
