    Yeah. To be fair though almost all of us have been calling for him to be moved down to 5th for a while now. Also he’s young and still has upside with the bat. Not exactly the same. Also the jays don’t have multiple 140wRC+ hitters hitting below him. Imagine a daily lineup like this: 1. Tapia 2. Bichette 3. Springer 4. Chapman 5. Vlad 6. Teo 7. Kirk Gotta respect the vets. That’s basically a Cito lineup equivalent

    Joe Carter’s WPA numbers are very bad for both 1992/1993 The whole Joe Carter is a clutch hitter thing is a load of crap. He holds the most legendary homerun in franchise history but lets not pretend that he was one of the main reasons the Jays won it all

    Alomar was the perfect leadoff guy for that team. Cito is a brick

    Absolutely f***ing insane that he hit leadoff on a team with Alomar, Molitor and Olerud. Jesus Christ those 93 playoff lineups are atrocious. Henderson and White 1-2 with Olerud and Molitor hitting 5-6. And what the hell was with the love for Joe Carter hitting 4th all the time? He was a whole tier or two below Olerud/Molitor

    Would love it. I’ve been wanting to do the allstar week for a couple years now, almost decided to make a trip to Cleveland for the game/derby a couple years back but my plans didn’t work out. If its in Toronto im definitely going to every event I can

    There were obviously things they disagreed on which we may never know about. For ths most part Charlie probably followed orders but he was clearly lacking an element of leadership. Fun over winning. That can’t fly when the stakes are high and the GM’s job is at risk. For example AA and Farrell had a big disagreement about which guy should get the bulk of playtime at SS (Hechavarria vs Vizquel) which we never knew about until years later.

    Yeah I agree, not gonna happen. You’re trading for 2.5 years of Soto, that’s it. Still a massive piece, he’s a very safe bet to produce 10+ WAR over that span of time. Probably closer to 15 WAR.

    He looked a couple inches shorter than Shawn Green, and he’s listed 6’4. So i think 6’1/6’2 is accurate. Looks shorter in some of the vids but could be old footage
