  1. 2011 Cardinals, 2014 Giants, 2014 Royals (1 win short), 2019 Nats, 2021 Braves…. Lots of examples of teams squeaking in and winning it all.
  2. Manoah is giving up too much hard contact to scrubs
  3. Double plays just f***ing destroying us right now. Schneids needs to start calling the hit and run more often
  4. Honestly its probably a “makeup” call for both those home plate plays involving the Jays and Orioles 2 days ago.
  5. Its a running downgrade? I would have thought JBJ is faster and better at stealing bags
  6. Jays singed JBJ to a major league deal, presumably for the minimum. Hopefully he replaces Zimmer I guess?
  7. Need Springer back to go on a run IMO
  8. The front office should just poach all the coaches from the Rays and pay them double
  9. Lol pot calling the kettle black
  10. Yeah. Bats made it close. Kikuchi is still Jekyll/Hyde
  11. How stupid do they look if they don’t get past the NLCS before Soto walks?? They gave up A LOT for him.
  12. Field it to your side instead of fielding it at your croch
  13. Definitely more than I thought. I haven’t seen a hotly contested call like today’s in quite a while
  14. Fairly regularly? You almost never see obstruction calls made at home. Maybe like one per year in the league. That’s the problem though, the inconsistency. Catchers technically violate the rule all the time but obstruction is barely ever called.
  15. Watching the play now, i’d guess the issue was that Sanchez was straddling the line in front of home plate way before the throw came in. Whit wasn’t given a lane to slide as he was coming down the line. Knee coming down to block seems legal to me, the illegal part is the setup before the throw came
  16. Haven’t seen the play yet, but going off this picture it seems totally legal. You see catchers move into the line all the time AS they are catching the ball. Depends how he was set up before the throw came in though. Whatev, its done and we won that’s what matters!
  17. Feels just like 2019/2020 again haha
  18. Come on Espy just a little poke here
