    Not having Lourdes and Hernandez at the corners should really improve the run prevention. We desperately need plus CF to move Springer to a corner. Dream scenario is like Arizona CF + Conforto signing

    I had a dream the Jays released Ryu, he ended up signing with the Os and came back in July pitching a CG shutout vs us. So yeah he’s coming back, Jays should hold onto him

    He’s such an enigma. Showed flashes of his former self but also flashes of AAAA fodder pitcher. The stuff is still there. Just need him to be a #3 workhorse type guy

    Yes. Gurriel is not better than Springer/Vlad/Kirk/Bo/Teo. I know Bo struggled like crazy early on but he pulled it together

    Yeah that’s fair. But i’d rather do Jansen for Grisham and then pick up Conforto or something. 3 yrs control on Grisham gives us time to find a better CF. Instead of paying Bellinger 10 mil to likely suck, and you’re in the same situation trying to find a CF for 2024.

    Also he’s a LHH and plays CF. Lots to like. 2022 was ugly for him though… no guarantees he bounces back. Still worth a shot though if that deal is available IMO. Lots of people here wanting to pay Bellinger 10+ mil and he’s been WORSE with the bat over the past 2 years.

    122 wRC+ in 2020 and 103 in 2021. He is projected for 106 wRC+ in 2023. He can be a league average bat with great defense.

    Grisham sucked ass with the bat all year in 2022 and still managed to produce 2+ WAR. He should rebound to around league average I think, but maybe not. Projections think yes. Grisham for Jansen is a fair trade IMO

    And previous years?? Come on dude… you can’t just look at 2022 and compare the two. Both are projected for roughly the same WAR over 120ish games (Grisham 2.5 to Jansen 2.9)

    Probably just a hail mary signing, hope he has a good start to the year and flip him for a lottery ticket prospect at the deadline
