  1. Its 7.5 for one year, not 15. Big difference. Doesn’t take them out of the running for anything, its just an insurance signing. Albeit, an ugly one.
  2. f*** it, yes. We need a vet like him to solidify 3B again and the bat will fit well in the top half of the lineup
  3. I can’t see that. I could see something like Machado + Cronenworth
  4. Belt was signed late in the offseason last year. Don’t worry
  5. He was 31 when the Jays signed him. Idk about his career numbers at the time, but his career numbers after his abysmal time with the Jays is 91 wRC+…. Which is 10 points higher than IKF’s current career numbers.
  6. Still need to address the rotation depth though IMO. Can’t assume all 5 guys will be healthy and effective for the whole season.
  7. Great stuff, thanks for the scoop
  8. Stroman for the rotation Tim Anderson for 2B Tommy Pham for LF The clubhouse vibes would be legendary
  9. No, clearly he’s innocent. Wait until the facts come out
  10. This contract feels alot like the infamous Maicer Izturiz deal.
  11. If (more like when) one of them gets injured, Varsho should be the backup C with KK primarily covering CF. I don’t wanna see Tyler f***ing Heineman getting 2 starts a week again
  12. I know, I just don’t really understand that decision.
  13. I don’t see why not. Mookie is an elite RF yet still plays tons of 2B and SS when needed. Varsho caught like 50 games in 2022. I think he should start 20ish games at catcher, especially now that KK is returning.
  14. Last year’s iteration of the Jays was the most boring in recent memory. Offense-heavy teams are just more fun than pitching/D teams. They just are. I think all of us were hoping for a more balanced team with more focus on offense next season, but so far this offseason looks like more focus on D
  15. People are putting way too much stock into Moreno having a hot 2 weeks in the playoffs. Recency bias, it is was it is.
  16. My dude he’s had 1 bad year, with a new club where he was trying to make an impression. Lets see how he looks in 2024 before calling him a waste
  17. 101 career wRC+ vs 81…
  18. Funny you say that, because Yankees fans nicknamed him “I Kant Field”
  19. I 100% did not expect KK to be re-signed. I won’t deny that. Still don’t think he’s a great fit unless he’s considered a 4th OF/bench piece. Feels like another move must be coming. If they trade Varsho and sign Bellinger then bringing back KK makes sense
  20. Interesting. Lets hope we don’t get back pennies on the dollar if they decide to trade Varsho
  21. After they gave him the largest contract in franchise history lol.
  22. You know Varsho is better than KK right??
  23. Feel like Varsho should be used as a backup Catcher. It’s almost inevitable either KK or Jansen will go down for at least a month. If you could plug Varsho into either of those spots he’s a very valuable piece even if the bat sucks again.
