  1. Not worst ever, that was probably the 2012 sweep of the Tigers. Pitiful effort. This one kinda sucked but not more than several others. Both CS series went 7 games though so its hard to complain
  2. Jim go accept the trade in BORED
  3. Haven’t they been floating the idea of losing the DH once you pull your starter?? That could work and add a lot of strategy. Also makes the traditional starter that can go 6-7 innings much more valuable.
  4. Idk what you’re talking about, we basically weathered a similar storm. Bo and Belt, our 2 best bats missed significant time near the end of the season. Chapman too. And guys like Clement, Schneider, Horwitz stepped up in a big way. We also lost our starting catcher who was hitting very well. On the starting side, we remained healthy but one of our best guys from last year was basically a useless sack of s*** so might as well have been injured. Rangers barely made the playoffs, and so did we. They got hot when it mattered and we didn’t.
  5. Seager gonna win anyways, so the SS nominees are moot. Yeah what a monster season by JP, good for him
  6. Boss move would be to go back into retirement immediately haha
  7. If the Dbacks had some more elite bats like Semien and Seager then they could’ve won this. Instead they have a bunch of scrubs like Carroll and Walker
  8. Its funny because of the 2010, 2011, 2023 Rangers WS teams, this is probably the weakest. But they get it done. Phils/Rangers would have been a much better series. Dbacks overrated af
  9. Ooof thats a huge error by Thomas. But the 2nd run was probably enough. Sewald been pretty s*** this series GG Dbacks.
  10. That was a fair comment at the time
  11. If he got better interest rates for investments vs the loan then yeah it just makes more sense to take a loan. Ez money. Doesn’t necessarily mean the team is hurting for cash.
  12. This is peak Blue Jays baseball
  13. Dbacks lookin like the Jays tonight
  14. Another late home opener, presumably because of the renovations. Merp
  15. Front office has a pretty good track record of selling high. Did it with Martin, Groshans, etc. Possibly Moreno too, we’ll see. The playoffs are not really swaying my opinion of his season stats, which were ok for a rookie but not amazing. Time will tell
  16. Yeah if it was first round, or even WS game 1 it definitely would have hurt them substantially. Definitely helps that they had a 2-1 series lead already. Kinda feels like Texas will finish the job tonight
  17. I have a soft spot for the Rangers, because that 2011 World Series is really what cemented my love for baseball and they came oh so close. Definitely prefer Texas over Houston, Yanks, Baltimore, Arizona, etc.
  18. Yes exactly. None of us liked the version of the Jays team we got this year but we knew that if a couple bats got hot come playoff time, the solid pitching would make them a tough team to beat. I would never have bet on the Jays to get any further than Minny, but obviously I would have been happy if they got hot and lucked their way through.
  19. Yup those contracts/signings looked terribly stupid at the time, but hey if it works it works
  20. Aaaaand he did.
  21. Rangers need someone like Semien or Lowe to step up if they want to win this
  22. Big blow, damn
  23. Yeah didn’t look good. MAYBE comes back for like game 6 or something?? But his power will likely be sapped
  24. Bah god that’s Marcus Stroman’s music
  25. Which league did Connor win??
