    I personally wish people would stop using the other F word, the A word, C word, B word, and the D word too. They are very hurtful.

    On paper: OUT Chapman, Belt, Merrifield IN Kiner-Falefa, Turner, Vogelbach Pretty sure he means the lineup this season is worse than our lineup last season on opening day. Thats 100% inarguable.

    Its true, KK got our only RBI in the postseason last year with a base hit. Springer hasn’t done much in the 4 postseason games he’s played with us but… SSS.

    My main point was that 10 million for KK is egregious, when we have a guy like Varsho, and we have an overall weaker lineup compared to the last few years. And it was our main problem in 2023. The 2 guys I mentioned (Taylor and Oneil) were each about half the cost of KK. I personally would have stuck Varsho in CF everyday, sign a backup/platoon CF for the bench, then use the savings to sign a bigger bat for LF. Bellinger was a great fit. Idk, I probably would’ve rolled with Bellinger in LF (CF backup) and someone like Urshela or Rosario at 3B, and give DH to Horwitz/Schneider. Much more balanced lineup, younger, more upside.

    Even someone like Oneill or Taylor would have made more sense over KK. Platoon partner with Varsho. KK just doesn’t make any sense on this roster

    That’s all fair, I just feel they were way too hasty in signing KK and IKF. It was unnecessary. Guys like that can be had for peanuts every offseason.

    LF was open. Shouldn’t have brought KK back IMO.

    Great game! Bats finally did something! Schneider needs to be playing everyday. Can’t believe the front office is still f***ing around with him.

    Thought it would be 1-2, 3 seems heavy. Easy appeal, I wonder when the best time for the suspension would be. Don’t think they can delay it til after the Yanks series.

    I don’t think Clement has many reps at 2nd? Plus they had planned for IKF to play 2nd. Im actually kinda more surprised they didn’t swap IKF and Turner defensively. Is Turner better at 3rd or 2nd? Mostly played 2nd and 1st last year.

    Nobody is playing out of position aside from maybe Biggio. Everyone overreacting to Turner making 1 bad play yesterday.

    Clement not in the lineup was totally expected. At least DS is in today. Also intrigued to see how Turner fares at 3B
