  1. Judge easily. Crazy he has 40 homers already with 2 months to go. If he remains healthy this could be a top all-time season for the record books.
  2. Sure, I will gladly eat crow if Vlad signs a hige deal and you dig up posts like this. I’d deserve it for being a Vlad naysayer the last while. If Vlad signs for 300+ million this forum will be a bloodbath for a few weeks lol
  3. I’ve lost 2 bets here already from being too optimistic, with my luck i’d lose this bet for being too conservative. And I wouldn’t be willing to wager a “large amount” anyways. Too many variables involved in this game. That being said, I don’t think Vlad gets 300 million unless he repeats his 2021 next year. It could happen, but if im the Blue Jays GM im not risking the future based on how Vlad looks right now. I want to see some consistency with Vlad. Vlad is a big part of why this team has underperformed expectations the past couple years.
  4. Yeah, we needed this last year. Bummer. But glad to see him hitting like he should again
  5. I can’t even tell if this is satire or not
  6. Im really thinking the best course of action here is to just let them both test free agency. Whats the worst that happens if Vlad tests FA?? He likely gets underwhelming offers and maybe 1 big 300m offer from a desperate team. And then we could match the offer if we wanted. No need to bid against ourselves here, its clear Vlad will not be giving us any kind of “discount” so why not wait
  7. Yall forgetting Bo’s heater from 2022? 1 crazy heater doesn’t mean he deserves a huge contract, lets wait and see how he finishes the year. And if he can sustain a 150ish wRC+ production next year.
  8. Emotions-driven post
  9. Semi-average lookin white dude. Maybe a 7 on a good day. Big swings and big whiffs. As advertised.
  10. Crazy. I definitely didn’t think he had it in him. Interested to see what his final stats look like come the end of the year. Can he keep this up?
  11. What the hell is up with Gausman man. Such a bummer to see previously dominant guys like Berrios and Gaus get lit up every other start this year.
  12. Im dubbing him Fido, the full name is too long. Joe Fido
  13. Typical Yusei. Unhittable when he can find the zone, but when he loses it he can end up walking 4-5 a game.
  14. He got 8 strikeouts in a row now, 10 total
  15. Dude is his own worst enemy. Can’t help himself with the high fastball especially
  16. Nice to see Fido contributing already
  17. That's what im thinking. It could play out similar to the Judge situation.
  18. Yup and the front office wasted the season by not improving the offense at the deadline.
  19. Agreed. Would be hilarious if someone f***ed up the calculations and they missed getunder the tax. Should all be fired if that’s the case
  20. Unbelievably stupid if they didn’t get under the tax. Really couldn’t take a lesser prospect in one of these deals to get rid of more money?? Come on
  21. Getting a bunch of untested prospects back via trade isn’t any more of a sure thing. That could easily fail, and actually likely has a higher chance of failing. This is the best roster we’ll likely have for the next 5 or so years, im not upset at the front office for giving it one more shot in 2025.
  22. Don’t act like you even go to the games when the team is good
  23. Its not difficult to imagine a scenario where the bullpen ends up being good next year with no new additions. Swanson bounce back Healthy Romano (assuming he returns) Healthy and dominant Green It turned to s*** this year and just as easily could flip back. Now, that is leaning alot on “hope” but that’s kinda what we’re gonna need to compete.
  24. Yup. Perfect asset management in regards to signing and shipping him off at the right time, but most here agreed IKF didn’t deserve the 2/15 deal he got. We lucked out on him catching fire for a month or so in the first half of the season. End of the day, front office gets a kudos for that one.
