  1. Jackson Holliday has arrived
  2. Absolute crime if he doesn't win a gold glove this year
  3. Man, GRod has a f***ing goonies lookin face
  4. Those returns are very similar, but Stroman at the time was undoubtedly a better asset than Kikuchi. Better numbers, younger, and an extra year of control. You're also missing the 3rd player in the deal who might not be just a throw-in. The Kikuchi trade blows the Stroman trade out of the water IMO
  5. Fair enough. Liranzo is probably the best player that got dealt this deadline
  6. Yeah major head-scratcher. Hit him 6/7 and let him chill
  7. Idk about that, but Trevor Rogers got better returns than both
  8. Come on now The team is not good (as-is) but they aren’t bad either. Middling. A couple shrewd signings and some guys having bounceback years, its not hard to see them as a playoff team. Agree the bullpen looks like a mess, but we thought the bullpen looked good coming into this year. You really never know.
  9. What a crazy contract. They don’t win the WS without Corbin, so you could easily argue that the contract was worth it even though he was barely mlb-caliber after the first year of the deal.
  10. Yeah their fanbase is wildly underestimating/undervaluing him. His ERA is bloated but the underlying numbers are still very solid for starter on a contending team.
  11. Right because his arm is ++ (when he’s throwing overhand) f*** it, let him play 3B rest of season and see how it plays out.
  12. Lolll. We did need an innings eater, rotation is a bit empty
  13. KK + eat just enough salary
  14. About 4 mil for 2.0 WAR and got a prospect back. All in all, a pretty good signing
  15. I was wrong. This seems to prove maybe Atkins isn’t in charge??
  16. They didn’t learn with KK, I don’t think they’ll move IKF
  17. Snell??? Hmm
  18. Erceg is sneaky good
  19. This is the 2nd major overpay of the deadline holy s***
  20. True. A better comp would be Stanton though. Signed a massive deal and got moved after a huge MVP season. That could happen with Vlad before he even turns 30.
  21. I’d be fine if Bo was traded and we filled the SS spot with an elite/above average glove. Go with good gloves up the middle (Varsho, Kirk, SS replacement) and get power bats for the corners (3B and LF)
  22. Eh. Not the worst. Even if they sign a couple big guys like Soto/Bregman/Burnes, and the 2025 continues to suck, they likely have enough pieces they can still offload in 2026 to help the farm a bit. Plus by 2026 Bassitt will be off the books, only 1 more year of Springer, etc. 2026 likely looks gross but I think they could be back to competitive by 2027/28 even if 2025 is a disaster
  23. Plus Melton should be ready next year and seems to be the better prospect. Loperfido for Kikuchi straight up would’ve made more sense
  24. Lol yeah the Astros subreddit is in absolute shambles over this trade. Usually means we did pretty well.
