TBH i wouldn’t be surprised if they only upgraded the pitching at the deadline and left the offense as-is. There really isn’t room/need for a DH-only with Springer/Santander/Kirk on the roster

    The thing that makes guys like Pujols, Bonds, Soto, Trout etc. so good isn’t just the physical talent… they have elite eyes/pitch recognition and extremely good baseball IQ. I don’t think Vlad will ever come close to replicating the career numbers of those guys. He just doesn’t have it between the ears unfortunately.

    Its clear you didnt watch any games in April, because he was absolutely elite and the best reliever in baseball and all you do is complain he sucks. That being said, its been long enough now where he hasn’t looked good at all and he’s outlived the leash he earned from April. He should be bumped down the pecking order
