  1. I would say he signs Cabrera next. 3/40
  2. Cabrera 4th? Are you high? 4th is one of the most important spots in the batting order and will be occupied by one of Bautista/Edwin/Donaldson. If you REALLY want to split up the righties, Cabrera can hit 3rd.
  3. I thought it was a decent read
  4. Unfortunately, Scherzer probably gets 200 million
  5. So just because its more money than you'll ever make, means he should settle for half of what he's worth? He would probably settle for 1Million if that was his only offer, but MLB teams think he is worth alot more than that, so they have to have a bidding war. Why shouldn't he accept a higher offer?
  6. If 2 random strangers on the street offered you money, 1 offering 100$ and 1 offering 1000$, which would you take?
  7. Looks like a great deal for the D-backs. Too bad we couldn't sign him.
  8. Yeah if you trade for Bruce as more than a salary dump, you are taking a gamble.
  9. I would like to point out that Hanley has an attitude problem that could come into play in a year or two. He supposedly threw a hissy fit in Miami when he was playing 3B, saying that he wanted to play SS. This was AFTER Hanley offered to play 3B if Miaimi could sign Reyes. Then once Reyes took over SS, Hanley changed his mind
  10. Jfas' predictions for our rotation last year were pretty damn accurate
  11. Realistically, Lawrie should be gone too. But he's the golden canadian boy and is untouchable...
  12. "Culture change"
  13. Gotta admit, Boston's lineup is looking pretty nasty now. Pedroia Hanley Sandoval Ortiz Cespedes Napoli Craig Bogaerts Betts FUUUUCK. Their pitching is garbage though EDIT: Forgot about the Catcher... Probably swap Boogers for David Ross. Still that lineup is nasty
  14. Great signing for the sox, but Hanley still has injury and defense problems and that will only get worse as he gets older.
  15. Pretty sure we got rid of Lind because the FO didn't like his attitude. (He was calling out the FO on certain issues last year)
  16. Why? We don't really have a need at 1B/DH. We really need a 2B and LF
  17. They could just trade him to the Dodgers in 2 years
  18. He had one bad year. Other than 2014, Bruce was a very solid bat for 4 seasons
  19. Morosi and Rosenthal are professionals. Law, not so much.
  20. Dude are you f***ed in the head? No way we sign Cueto AND Shields
  21. Agree. It'll take more than Sanchez though
  22. Done with free agency does not mean done improving the roster. There are still trades to be made. I don't think we're done with free agency though.
  23. I'm fine with that. Saunders isn't a big name and neither is Headley
  24. The agents should be the embarrassed ones. Its their responsibility to know the pros and cons of each of the 30 cities. It's pretty ridiculous that they have no idea about the taxes in Toronto.
  25. AA just talked about the perceived "Tax issue" with FAs signing with the Jays. Said a big study was done by the org about 10 yrs ago and it concluded that Toronto is mid-pack for taxes in MLB cities. Said that alot of Agents are uninformed, and that he needs to do a better job of making agents understand that the tax thing is overblown
