I really think he'd prefer to pitch somewhere else. I'm also not sure our front office (or at least the portion of it that make decisions) realize he wasn't as bad as his OMGERA last year.

Who here is advocating paying him like a 4 win pitcher? Nobody. We have the ability to look at park adjusted numbers and make decisions off of them. Pretty sure that's what the majority here are using.

Put on your tinfoil hats because it's time for a pet conspiracy theory of mine: The baseballs have been de-juiced in the last 8 years or so just to give the impression that Selig has cleaned the game up. It doesn't really make sense that power is going to go back down to the levels in the 70s and 80s when players are far bigger/stronger/faster and ballparks are generally smaller.

Off the top of my head I'm not sure either. But I definitely am inclined to think you're wrong lol. A .400 BABIP season can create an outlier 8 win season pretty easily.
