I think people mentioning him as a platoon option has more to do with Lind being a useless turd against lefties than Reimold being a monster against them or anything.
I've always loved Reimold's swing, more so than his professional results would suggest I should.
Lets tap the brakes here too though. He's generating a below average number of swings and misses. We shouldn't expect him to strike out 7.6 going forward.
He's a good pitcher but he's nowhere near the upper echelon.
Throughout the history of the game, position players who have pitched in blowouts have a league average BABIP. So, there's that.
I guess their slop is just really good at inducing WEEK KONTAKT
Hendo always commanded his sinker. 1.7 bb/9 over his minor league career. If Sanchez demonstrated anything close to that level of control/command, he'd be a legitimate top prospect.
If you can't command your fastball, you can't do much.
Sanchez is not good/ready so that's an obviously bad idea.
I'm sure Norris would be a fine loogy but why would you start his service time clock on such an experiment? It's not that hard to find a left handed slop baller that can fill that role fairly effectively.
10/10 would read again. You should post moar!!
You know veteran scouts make like $65k right? Oh, but they get their meals paid for at the local Crab Shack. Sometimes. Totally worth it.
While the Bolland signing is obviously egregious, I'm surprised someone actually valued Grabo close to what he's worth. The NHL being retarded and all.
By publicly employed scouts. A team influenced at all by analytics would not have Aaron Sanchez anywhere near a top 50.
Holding him during a (pseudo) contending year next year has great value in itself.
