  1. Unfortunately the obit video doesn't have a birth date. Maybe someone can message the guy who posted the video and ask? The birth date listed in the other profiles is Oct 13, 1978, which would make him 36... pretty much the exact age the guy in the video looks to be.
  2. This is very surreal. I hope this is a case of mistaken identity, or some kind of mistranslation.
  3. This is bizarre and tragic, but it appears that our fellow poster, ace3113, may have passed away. After signing up for the Breaking Blue Dynasty League, ace was unreachable for several weeks starting in late December. Through Google, Northof49 was able to find several other online accounts under the screen name "ace3113", aka Peter Acevedo. http://www.chess.com/members/view/ace3113 Here is another one with the same picture, with baseball related music: http://blip.fm/ace3113 Sadly, Northof49 also found the following Youtube video, posted several days ago, which appears to be an obituary to one Peter Acevedo. Given his absence, and the video, it now seems possible that ace3113 has died suddenly. I hope this is a mistake, but the evidence seems to indicate that he may be deceased. If so, RIP ace3113.
  4. I've been saying all along that I think it will be a weak MiLB draft, so I guess I can't really knock you trading a late 3rd for a 5th in order to ensure you getting the player you want, with pitching being a need.
  5. You must have been looking at Jaysblue's column. I'm going to process it as 85 and you guys can correct it if that's not the case.
  6. Fair point. I prefer Abreu, personally.
  7. Okay... apparently Cats Ass doesn't own #89. He owns 84 and 85.
  8. Pointless deal... UNLESS z3r0s just bamboozled Cats Ass and decides to break his gentleman's agreement and take Abreu. I fully encourage this.
  9. BTW, Cats Ass was going to take Abreu at #1 anyway lol
  10. This is 100% not going to be enforced.
  11. Everything I read on Barnes this year had an arrow pointing down.
  12. I don't think Hahn is anything, but I do think Parker is the best asset in the deal.
  13. Jarrod Parker for a measly late 1st rounder? Yes please.
  14. Rodon is gonna be an ace, the best pitching prospect since Stras.
  15. Weren't you against giving him a QO? I was always for it.
  16. Well we each got our intended target, so cheers to that.
  17. But it also opens the door for you to be removed from the deal (see Archer deal). I won't knock the hustle though.
  18. Safe to assume No49 is one of them? Lol dude is always trying to score a three-way.
  19. Sometimes you can throw s*** against the wall and it sticks. Unfortunately, that doesn't work with diarrhea.
  20. As per MLBTR. At least its not Yuni Betancourt?
  21. We put Ryu in the MLB draft because he was clearly starting in the majors.
  22. Yep thats fine. Message one of us and we'll remove your cuts from the spreadsheet.
  23. I think he checked in here about a week ago.
  24. http://cdn.baseballamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/julio-urias-2013-mug-bm.jpg Apparently you only need one good eye to pitch like a boss.
  25. Some guys NJH could have drafted instead of Kaleb Cowart: Yasiel Puig Noah Syndergaard Jedd Gyorko Jon Singleton Oswaldo Arcia George Springer Albert Almora Gregory Polanco Nick Franklin Nolan Arenado Kolten Wong Lucas Giolito Robert Stephenson Michael Wacha Yordano Ventura Swing and a miss!
