I'm not bitter, I just think he has SP3 ceiling. I don't mind being wrong, that's just my honest take at this moment in time. If I could choose again, I'd take Nelson.
No, Jeurys Familia is really good. Jimmy Nelson is a one category contributor on an awful team in a park that drastically increases home runs and will inflate his ERA.
Indeed. At only 4% usage he's basically a two-pitch guy. It's hard to sustain value as a two-pitch SP when your FB is 90 MPH with spotty command. Luckily for you, Jarrod Parker's career is pretty much over and Kendell Graveman blows.
The curveball is good but the fastball is a 50 and the command is below average. The SwStr doesn't give me much confidence that he's going to carry a K rate above 20% going forward, and he'll never be a K/BB or OBPA asset.
I like O'Day because I've been dominating saves so thoroughly that it really behooves me to get another holds guy to slot in for the Thurs-Sun games, by which time I usually have SV sewn up.
I quickly grew tired of Pomeranz, he's very average in every respect. LOB% should rise and get his ERA in line with his FIP tho (~4), unless he gets booted from the rotation first.
I have a surplus of backend SPs, if anybody is looking to add one or two. Pomeranz, Buehrle, Gonzalez, Jaime, Greene, Kelly and Alvarez could be available. Swapping one for an above replacement level holds guy would be ideal.
Any team with Goldy can be a playoff team, the man is a is a menace. I have Goldy and Cruz in FC and they're absolutely carrying me. Pederson looks like a real bastard too, an OBP freak with 30/20 upside.
