  1. Min, can you trade me one of your gross vets for a good reliever? It makes sense for both of us.
  2. I'm not really sure what to make of him. He was dominating last night and hitting 96 MPH with good off-speed stuff, then he got pulled after 79 pitches because of two consecutive hits. I don't get TB sometimes. I'm positive he will be a keeper for me, however.
  3. I'm curious, are you excluding Jaime or Karns from that group?
  4. I'm also open to seeing what a package of something like Rodon + Swihart + Billy Hamilton or Kopech could get me. Preferably an ace like Felix Hernandez.
  5. Kazmir has been nails too, I guess. I probably called up Rodon too soon, which had a trickle down effect on some other roster decisions like trading Anibal and Wei-Yin. He's been nuking my OBPA pretty frequently.
  6. Danny Valencia is available for a 4th round pick. Any takers? Also, for a rebuilding team looking to make a spec closer play, Tommy Kahnle is available. Axford has been demoted from the closer's role and Kahnle (25 y, 10.9 K/9, 56% GB, 13.7% SwStr, 94.3 MPH FB) looks to be the heir. He can be had for a crusty old veteran SP rotation filler.
  7. Cano last 30 days: 6 HR, .359/.553. Meanwhile Pujols and Ortiz have been just as good as Davis, so I don't regret that trade, even now. I sold high, and the principle was sound.
  8. My pitching isn't really that great after Sale and Bumgarner, TBH.
  9. In that dream, did you also surpass me in the PRs for the first time in 3 years? 10. How was Sanchez' HBP "obviously" intentional? There were two outs, he threw a first pitch strike, and the struck batter wasn't one of their best hitters, nor was he hit in the back. It didn't look intentional at all to me.
  11. I didn't hear a word Nick Nolte said, I was far too distracted by his eyeliner.
  12. I guess what bothers me about it is that I legitimately don't think Sanchez beaned Escobar intentionally, based on the situation and count. I wish he had (preferably Hosmer or Cain), but I don't think he did.
  13. It's more funny than anything, I'd just take it and move on. I'm sure Mark Buerhle or someone like that will pay Sanchez' fine, if there is one. It's not like our bullpen can't do without him for 3 games.
  14. Hilarious/utter horseshit.
  15. That's impossible to accurately quantify with the information at our disposal. If he is the difference between us making the playoffs or not, it could be millions.
  16. Um, mostly because we have nobody under contract next year who has ever thrown 200 IP in a season before? Other than Dickey, who is a team option. Innings are a good thing, and you don't get to 200 IP on a good team unless you are also good.
  17. I had a dream last night where Cano passed through waivers (obviously) and then the Yankees traded Sabathia for him.
  18. I recently traded him to GD, so I'm just trying to rub some salt in it, as he clearly lurks this thread daily.
  19. Nah, 2011 was better. 17.3% SwStr and 14 K/BB... that slider is cray.
  20. Wow, Romo is having a fantastic year. He never should have been taken out of the closer role though. Bochy must be the derpiest guy to ever manage 3 WS winners.
  21. My understanding is that it's been at $7M/WAR for a couple years now, and will only increase going forward.
  22. Matt Holliday has like half as many HRs as Kevin Pillar and a balky quad. He probably won't even play again this year.
  23. Says who? I've seen no evidence of that. It's one thing to take on $15M or $20M in payroll, it's quite another to add less than $3M.
