Didn't you drop him like 2 months ago? And any of us could have picked him up for free? I'm despaired to actually be giving up a decent prospect for him, but he's been great lately and I'm desperate to add a SP.
Come to think of it, I've now traded every prospect from my original draft (Buxton, Dirty Sanchez, Giolito, Ventura, Marisnick, Shaffer). Hopefully this one doesn't burn me as bad as the Giolito deal.
You can sit and poo poo someone, as many of you did when I picked up Familia in the waiver draft, or you can proactively take a chance on a guy who has nice profit potential, and who could hold a closing job for a long time with plenty of Ks.
Any rebuilding teams want to trade an old, middling SP for a newly appointed young closer with 11 K/9? Tommy Kahnle has been tabbed for the job and has nice peripherals.
