  1. I have a trade contingent on who's available at 5.
  2. Austin Jackson has had a good career, so has Phil Hughes. Betances was a bust, but now he's not.
  3. Here is where it really gets interesting.
  4. Something in the 35-50 range, I think. He's at least as valuable as Ben Revere.
  5. I'd love to own GCS, but giving up your ace or 2nd superstar bat to make that upgrade is a tough pill to swallow.
  6. Koji Uehara is available for a draft pick.
  7. Betances >>>> Capps TJS any second now.
  8. I doubt he gets more than 40 games anyway
  9. If Gallardo's contract is digestible, we could probably even trade him for a prospect comparable to what we could draft at that pick anyway.
  10. Watching Dickey pitch is pretty excruciating too, as is rostering his caddy.
  11. As Shapiro said, you can put a dollar value on a comp pick. This is factored into any contract analysis. I trust that Shapiro would only go after someone like Gallardo if he was reasonably certain the value was there, and in this case, he probably has a taker for Dickey lined up. Gallardo at something similar to Happ dollars is not a terrible investment. Gallardo is an 8-time 2 WAR pitcher, that ain't bad. Anybody who thinks that Estrada or Happ is a safer bet to put up 6 WAR over the next 3 years is in denial. Only if he shaves that f***ing beard and rat tail tho.
  12. I never understood why you traded for Waino in the first place. You are at the bottom of a rebuild cycle and Matz is good.
  13. Not sure what that has to do with me.
  14. He's got a better career xFIP than Shelby Miller and is the same age. I think it's pretty reasonable to expect that Hutch can become a league average starter if given the opportunity.
  15. Hundo-p. He's old too, gonna be 30 in a couple months.
