Manaea’s four-seam fastball doesn’t always have consistent velocity, but on the best days it will touch 97 mph and sit 92-94 with plane and run. - Dec 1, 2015
Sounds like a 60 to me, not an 80.
There's something to be said about sticking to your guns and taking your dude, even if you have to reach a little. If you make a mistake, you can learn from it, but if you scooped everybody else, you get to brag about it for years.
Quick clarification: If a player has not played an MLB regular season game, but they HAVE played an MLB playoff game, are they eligible for this draft?
There are a few studly OFs I would have preferred, but I guess we're already getting to the point of the draft where people go off-board to nab their dudes.
Why? Vacation is for having fun. I have fun doing fantasy baseball. You can't drink or be on a beach for every single second of a vacation, there is always downtime. In fact one year I set up DDL rosters while hungover in London. I've made trades from Copenhagen and Sydney. If you don't want to pay attention to your fantasy league while traveling, that's your prerogative, but the league doesn't pause for anybody. Yahoo opens the same time every year and the waiver draft will begin the same time every year.
I like to think people in this league look at more than one list, are very well versed in stat analysis, and understand the difference between fantasy value and IRL value.
