  1. You couldn't pay me to own that player, I just want to know if he's eligible.
  2. Manaea’s four-seam fastball doesn’t always have consistent velocity, but on the best days it will touch 97 mph and sit 92-94 with plane and run. - Dec 1, 2015 Sounds like a 60 to me, not an 80.
  3. There's something to be said about sticking to your guns and taking your dude, even if you have to reach a little. If you make a mistake, you can learn from it, but if you scooped everybody else, you get to brag about it for years.
  4. Of course you do, your algorithm only concerns itself with the what and ignores the how.
  5. I didn't. His vowel:consonant ratio is way too high, he'll never make it against advanced hitters.
  6. Quick clarification: If a player has not played an MLB regular season game, but they HAVE played an MLB playoff game, are they eligible for this draft?
  7. There are a few studly OFs I would have preferred, but I guess we're already getting to the point of the draft where people go off-board to nab their dudes.
  8. With that in mind, everybody is free to start cutting guys whenever they like. In fact, I'm going to get the ball rolling and cut Cody Anderson.
  9. Manaea wasn't even the best Sean/Pitcher on my board!
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fantasy-roto-arcade/yahoo-fantasy-baseball-2014-opening-soon-awesome-154013656--mlb.html http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fantasy-roto-arcade/play-ball--yahoo-2015-fantasy-baseball-coming-your-way-192313636.html
  11. The last two years it actually opened before February. If I had to guess I'd say either Jan 28/29 or Feb 1.
  12. Why? Vacation is for having fun. I have fun doing fantasy baseball. You can't drink or be on a beach for every single second of a vacation, there is always downtime. In fact one year I set up DDL rosters while hungover in London. I've made trades from Copenhagen and Sydney. If you don't want to pay attention to your fantasy league while traveling, that's your prerogative, but the league doesn't pause for anybody. Yahoo opens the same time every year and the waiver draft will begin the same time every year.
  13. Oh, you have him blocked? Lol. It was Snell.
  14. Like the post directly above yours, you mean?
  15. Did Abom trade his pick?
  16. Iceland was great. I went there in February and it was warmer than Toronto at the time. I ate some Minke whale.
  17. I realllly really want Reed. I very nearly took him at 5.
  18. Love me some Crawford. Look forward to ten years of .370 OBPs and 100+ R.
  19. I really didn't expect Giolito to be available, so that threw a wrench in my plans. Owning him in LOD made it easier to pass on him.
  20. I like to think people in this league look at more than one list, are very well versed in stat analysis, and understand the difference between fantasy value and IRL value.
  21. I don't think Mazara was the runaway choice there, but I have coveted him for a long time.
  22. f*** it, I want to diversify my prospect portfolio. I'm taking the plunge on Nomar Mazara.
  23. Yep. I thought this decision would be made for me. It wasn't.
  24. And no I won't be taking that player.
  25. I had a deal with Boxy to trade down if Benintendi was available at 5. I still might be interested in trading down 3-5 spots.
