  1. FVV stepped up and was absolute money last year in the ECF and the Finals. Boston is a particularly bad matchup for him but he can be a Top 3/4 player on a championship team, as long as Siakam isn’t the nominal #1.
  2. Siakam has been an unmitigated disaster to the point where I’m even concerned about his contract extension now.
  3. And then I accidentally benched Voit for a 2 HR game. Touche, karma.
  4. We are getting absolutely murdered in Gasol’s minutes, I don’t understand how Nurse isn’t seeing this.
  5. I would honestly hate to root for a Harden-centric team. He’s just so annoying to watch. It’s just endless ISO possessions of step back 3s and free throws on ******** baited fouls. It’s not entertaining basketball IMO and he will never win a championship on a team where he is the best player.
  6. We basically can only trust Kyle and Norm right now to take and make shots. Fred is facing a really bad personnel matchup and doesn't have his usually swagger, and OG is solid for corner 3s but that's about it. Ibaka is shooting hot right now but defensively is getting roasted by Boston's superior athleticism, although I do wonder if he might take of Pascal's minutes in game 7.
  7. Pascal is now Marc Gasol. Can’t finish at the rim, hesitant to shoot, defensive specialist.
  8. What a f***ing doofus.
  9. I don’t think intra-conference trading is a consideration whatsoever.
  10. If he shits the bed today I’ll send you a Christmas card
  11. lol BTS you're a dick, picking up a scrub like Porcello during a playoff week when you're out
  12. Essentially a sign-and-trade allows the player to go to their team of choice while also attaining the maximum possible salary (and sometimes a year before FA), and it allows the team he is departing to recoup maximum assets since he has indicated his unwillingness to sign long term. Recent examples would be Kevin Durant and Jimmy Butler. It may also be done for cap considerations if the team the player wants to go to doesn't have the cap space to sign him outright. If Giannis does not sign the super max contract extension with the Bucks this summer, they are either going to have to take one final year of him to make a championship run and then get nothing but cap space, or they can ask him what team he is willing to sign long term with and then work out a deal to get assets for him. It's a conundrum for sure.
  13. One of my personal conspiracy theories is that Masai and Lowry have a handshake agreement baked into Kyle's two-year contract extension. We pay him big for these two years, then he signs on for vet minimum when we have Giannis on the payroll.
  14. Honestly, if Giannis really wants to team up with Masai and would re-sign if we sign-and-trade for him, then the most logical thing IMO is to send Siakam to the Bucks for him. (1) That's about as good as the Bucks are going to get in return, (2) Siakam has overlapping but worse skills than Giannis, (3) and the Siakam money in that scenario would be better spent re-signing Fred and putting shooters around Giannis. I'm really very down on Siakam after his bubble showing. He has some very predictable pet moves that the league is onto now, and I'm struggling to see him breaking through to another level. He's not an optimal piece as a fellow max contract on the same team as Giannis.
  15. Non-lowball offers for Gary Sanchez plz
  16. So I pack it in for the year, I sell off my ace, a 1.000 OPS OF, and an elite closer, and now I might run up a sweep week to jump 5 spots into a playoff seed. Oh fantasy baseball, you do love to f*** with me.
  17. Can we still trade? Schoop is rly gud and available.
  18. Holy s***, Nomar Garciaparra looks f***ing great. Dude is more jacked than his playing days, he could still pass for 35.
  19. I’m enjoying the fun while it lasts; Merryweather won’t throw 100 IP in his entire career.
  20. Guys it’s pretty easy to aim ribs and miss high. Chapman has never had pinpoint command, either.
  21. Time to DFA McGuire and call up Fatso.
  22. Lol Villar 3rd... Ok there, Carlos
  23. They probably get more memberships in the long run if the posted content is good. I would encourage anyone who isn’t poor to subscribe, it’s well worth the small cost.
  24. Oh sorry, are we about to start whining about unlucky seasons? You can all rim my ass.
