I continue to be astounded by how little the general population knows about common birds. I was walking through Ryerson campus the other day and a crowd of people were gathered around a tree taking pictures of a Red-Tailed Hawk eating a sparrow. None of the idiots knew what kind of bird it was.
"It's an eagle."
"No, it's a falcon!"
