    I would say Ceciliani has the inside track. Lake is just such a useless hitter, it's hard to see him providing value on either side of the ball.

    I never thought I would own Danny Duffy... but 3 beers in, and I'm starting to think he could be a very sexy SP-eligible holds guy. SSS RP splits are very sexy indeed for him, McGee-esque.

    I can't even pile on Appel any more, it's just sad at this point. He might not even be a major league pitcher when all is said and done.

    I could see that if a team had a flyball friendly park, like the Angels or the Padres or the Mariners. Hutchison is probably never going to line up his ERA with his xFIP in a home run haven like RC.

    I wouldn't trade Hutchison for anything less than Dansby Swanson, Ender Inciarte and Aaron Blair. Clearly that's what the market bears for pitchers of his ability.

    I can't see how he would have enough trade value to even explore this, and that's completely putting aside the fact that we don't have SP depth to trade.

    Just my own medical opinion, but he'd probably be playing if it were a meaningful game. Really all he does is swing a bat for a living, and he's really good at it, so he probably didn't forget how in the last few months.

    He looks fantastic, like mid-season form. He's pounding the strike zone, getting grounders, getting whiffs when he needs them. He might really blossom this year.
